The Senior Manager, Manufacturing Operations – Metal Bond is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing all aspects of production within the manufacturing environment, including workforce management, shop floor operations, and continuous process improvement. This position ensures on-time delivery, cost efficiency, and adherence to safety and quality standards through the implementation of lean manufacturing principles and effective resource utilization.

The Senior Manager will drive performance through strategic planning, KPI management, and employee engagement while fostering a culture of respect, accountability, and operational excellence. A strong focus on compliance, root cause and corrective action (RCCA), and cross-functional collaboration is essential. This role requires a hands-on leader with deep experience in manufacturing operations and a passion for mentoring high-performing teams to support both short- and long-term business objectives.

What You Will Do:

Oversee production operations (shop floor management, workforce management, and flow disruption management).Manage and supervises the work of manufacturing production disciplines in the Operations function to achieve established targets for on-time delivery.Establish performance objectives and leads cell performance and productivity.Ensure optimal use of resources and adherence to best safety practices for a safe work environment and culture.Ensure all quality related items are complete and documented so that established quality standards are met. Directs cost reduction and process improvement to ensure efficiency of operations and cost effectiveness.Lead and ensure the team’s behaviors meet our culture vision- employee engagement, positive culture, empowerment, inclusiveness, and open communication.Maintain compliance to all regulations and company policies.Ensure that all non-conforming, non- standard conditions, and issues have the appropriate RCCA to ensure containment, correction, and resolution.Manage the operational team’s macro plan that plans and manages the key actions that need to happen during the fiscal year to meet the team’s operational goals and commitments.Lead the implementation of lean manufacturing principles across the work cells to ensure visual management, standard work, 5S, and layout flow and linkage.Collaborate and influence across multiple disciplines and levels of the organization to meet goals and make improvements.Lead and participate in projects, continuous improvement initiatives that support organizational objectives.Coach and mentor direct and indirect reports for development.Conduct analysis and prepare reports as necessary on operational status, projects, and process improvements.

Qualifications You Must Have:

Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years’ prior relevant experience in manufacturing operations, engineering, materials management, quality or closely related industrial environment or an Advanced degree and 7 or more years' relevant experiencePrior experience applying Lean Manufacturing Principles and experience with Kaizen events or continuous improvement programExperience as a people leader (performance management, talent development, engagement etc)

The salary range for this role is 137,000 USD - 275,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
