Job Description

You will report to the Director - ITD Digital and have a hybrid work schedule

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Recruit and develop a diverse team of architects and UI/UX professionals in domains including hardware, firmware, embedded software, edge and cloud, web and mobile applications, artificial intelligence (AI), user interface and experience (UI/UX), data, sensing, motor control, automation logic and roboticsCreate simple architecture and UI/UX standards across our Intelligent Devices (ITD) segment, with products including variable frequency drives, motion control drives, industrial robots, sensors, independent cart, energy monitors, industrial control devices, Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), and artificial intelligence (AI)Lead and influence enterprise-wide alignment on technology, architecture, UI/UXCollaborate and align across Rockwell Automation on customer experience, technology, system release, common architecture, and enablers for a Connected EnterpriseManage capacity and workloads to achieve priorities while promoting engagement and retentionPromote new ways of working with AI across the enterpriseDeliver and support the deployment of scalable, enabling, and re-usable engineering content to the development team and associated knowledge captureFoster innovation and drive creation of intellectual property, including execution of IP generating processes and KPI'sLead execution of team's work using a Scalable Agile Framework (SAFe) and optimizing against team capacity, converting lean portfolio roadmaps and priorities into horizon plans, backlog, dependenciesDrive competitive differentiation and cost aligned with market and customer value propositions and helps facilitate the collection, knowledge capture, accessibility, and awareness of technical competitive intelligenceManage Technology Investigation Projects (TIP), processes, and facilitates consistent execution and partner managementLead and facilitate industry expertise with standards participation, technical publications, and engagement strategiesEnsure that team members receive focus, attention, and communications that link our work to our strategy and creating customer valueAchieve organizational performance through continuous improvement, projects, and goalsManage the team and work to a defined budget

The Essentials- you will have:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of relevant work experienceLegal authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

The Preferred- you might also have

Typically requires a minimum of 5 years experience in leadership of global engineering teamsMasters or similar post-graduate degreeDomain expertise in core engineer disciplines in hardware, embedded software, firmware, sensing, motor controls, automation logic, AI, edge and cloud applicationsExperience in managing technology and architecture in industrial automation industryUnderstanding of best practices in user experience/interface (UI/UX) designPassion for making the complex simpleExpert at driving execution of development programs with engineering teamsCommunicates early and often at all levels of the organizationDemonstration of excellent EIQ in balancing multiple team members with varying needs and desires
