Senior Manager, IT Product Management - Schwab Retirement Tech.

We believe in the importance of in-office collaboration and intend for the selected candidate to work on site 4 days per week in one of the specified locations.

Our firm develops, supports and hosts solutions for business firms who use our technology to provide recordkeeping services to companies with 401k retirement plans or Health Savings Accounts for their employees.  We are focused on enhancing security and modernizing our recordkeeping system to be cloud ready and modernizing our on-line participant experiences. This will enable participants to access information to help make more informed decisions. New features include insights on how much they need to save to support their desired lifestyle in retirement and where their savings are invested. This is an individual contributor role. 

What you’re responsible for

Working with our team of product owners, business/system analysts/architects, programmers and testers in an Agile environment. Managing the welfare of projects for our suite of products at all stages of the lifecycle including analyzing, defining strategy and managing implementation of enhancements to existing and new products. What you have

To ensure that we fulfill our promise of "challenging the status quo," this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have.

Required Qualifications:

10+ years’ experience in a similar product owner/team lead role.Recent work experience in an Agile environment – e.g. defining the vision and strategy for a project, building a roadmap, design/requirements gathering, event storming, story writing, grooming, testing etc. A technical/programming background.Bachelor’s degree is required. Demonstrated behaviors:Detail orientated,analytical/problem solving skills andexecution skills /results orientated.

Preferred Qualifications: 

Retirement industry experience.ASPPA QKA, QPA designations. Experience with using JIRA, Confluence or similar tools.Knowledge about Schwab Enterprise (or similar financial institution) systems and capabilities, including Broker/Dealer systems, account structures, and cashiering, account opening and file integration processes.Broad understanding of US-based retirement plans, regulations and products geared towards Small Business Retirement plans.Background in operational functions like Payroll and Fund Distributions.
