This role drives cost savings, improves supplier value, and ensures category strategies align with business objectives in a fast-paced Consumer Packaged Goods environment. The Senior Manager, Indirect Procurement will be initially responsible for supporting Procurement activities across HR benefits, and other Professional service spend areas. They will engage and collaborate with business leaders and finance teams in the respective area to drive value through strategic sourcing execution. The role develops and maintains strong relationships with global human resources, executive, legal, finance, procurement, regional, and local leads the implementation of strategic initiatives in support of global and regional transformation and growth. It also builds the talent base within the procurement organization, developing internal talent and attracting world-class competencies to ensure efficient operations. Working closely with stakeholders, the role ensures ELC implements optimal solutions aligned with the company’s strategy. The individual owns the regional category strategy for corporate professional services and related sub-categories, embedding and delivering it through a team of sub-category managers and strong engagement with business partners and preferred suppliers. Ultimately, the role ensures optimal cost, quality, service, and risk mitigation solutions for ELC. Reporting to: Executive Director, Corporate & Professional Services 1. Develop and execute category strategies (30%) : Set sourcing direction, select suppliers, and design contracts; manage $75M–$100M spend; target ambitious 5-10% annual savings; work independently within company goals. 2. Negotiate and manage major service contracts (25%) : Approve terms for multi-million-dollar agreements; resolve pricing, scope, and compliance issues; deliver $5M–$8M in savings annually. 3. Build and manage supplier relationships (15%) : Select preferred partners; address performance gaps; oversee ~70% of category spend; lead business reviews. 4. Partner with stakeholders (15%) : Align sourcing with HR, Legal, Finance, and Marketing needs; influence priorities; represent procurement in enterprise planning. 5. Ensure compliance and manage risk (10%) : Enforce procurement policies; mitigate legal, financial, and operational risks; ensure audit readiness. 6. Mentor and develop team (5%) : Hire, coach, and manage 2–4 team members; oversee $1M–$2M operating budget; plan future talent needs. **Qualifications** Education & Experience + 8-10 years of experience, 5% travel time + Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, or related field (MBA or equivalent preferred). + Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry experience preferred but not required + 6+ years of progressive procurement experience, with at least 3 years in a Corporate Professional Services category such as HR Benefits, Legal Services, Corporate Insurance, Managed Services, Financial Services or Talent Solutions (Contingent/Consulting etc.). + Candidates with Advanced experience of conducting procurement projects in Human Resources programs are highly desirable for this role + Proven experience in a global or large-scale CPG or consumer-facing company is strongly preferred. + Track record of negotiating multi-million-dollar complex global contracts and managing vendor portfolios. Skills & Competencies + Manage suppliers; setting and measuring KPIs and establish meetings with stakeholders to keep improving results with suppliers + Understand business needs: Formulate short/mid/long term business requirements through communication with key stakeholders (Goals, Trends, e.g.) to guarantee that the strategy is aligned with the business + Deep knowledge of procurement best practices, market trends, and supplier ecosystems. + Strong understanding of HR Benefits, Legal Services, Corporate Insurance or Talent Solutions. + Strong negotiation, influencing, and relationship management skills. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with the possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
