**Job Description:**
We are searching for the best talent to join our team as a proactive and strategic Senior Manager of Communications and Public Affairs (C&PA) for an agile Global Portfolio Communications Team, located in New Brunswick or Raritan, New Jersey.
Working closely with the Neuroscience, Cross-TA and Office of the Chief Medical Officer teams, this leader will lead the creation and implementation of coordinated strategies for select in line and pipeline assets that deliver on key business priorities, data readouts and clinical trial programs. Responsibilities also include leading the Dr. Paul Janssen Award for Biomedical Research and the Johnson Medals, scientific awards that celebrate the critical role of scientific innovation in advancing the trajectory of health for humanity.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Lead comprehensive communication and PA strategies for key pipeline assets across Neuroscience, Cardiopulmonary, and other therapeutic areas, ensuring collaboration with global and regional partners to effectively position J&J as a scientific leader.
+ Support priority R&D programs across the portfolio with customized communications strategies to reach target audiences and to enable timely recruitment - spanning across all media, including local target U.S. market grassroots media to drive patients to local trial sites
+ Lead execution of our scientific awards and recognition programs.
+ Operate in an agile communication model that adapts focus and resources based on business priorities and cycle needs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and relevant communication flows.
+ Strong executive presence and experience counseling senior business leaders.
**Experience and Skills**
**Required:**
+ Bachelor's degree in communication or journalism preferred; graduate study/degree a plus
+ Outstanding writer with experience translating sophisticated information clearly and effectively in a variety of channels including presentations, executive speeches, web sites and social media.
+ Consistent track record of successfully engaging with colleagues and external partners at all levels
+ Outstanding project management with ability to course-correct as issues arise
+ Experience working with and managing vendors, consultants and budgets
**Preferred:**
+ Minimum 8 years experience in communications or related field.

**The anticipated base pay range for this position is :**
The base pay range is $120,000 to $207,000 USD.
