Senior Manager, Food Services

General Summary:

Responsibilities 

Management: 

Oversee Food and Beverage and Company Events operations, leading management and consultant/contractor teams to build and maintain the hospitality business model, creating culture and strong community resonance. 

Lead and implement strategic and operational department goals, including vision, hospitality programs, quality, marketing, price/value perceptions, customer satisfaction, employee training, and development. 

Drive continuous process improvement through staff development and training programs, established methods, procedures, and guidelines to maintain desired standards and high-quality service. 

Operations: 

Develop and retain programs that ensure quality and cost-effective solutions for in-house and off-campus entertainment, food, beverage, and company events. 

Manage day-to-day and long-term operations, including hiring, training, and developing employees, coaching, mentoring, and performance management. 

Oversee the construction, design, and development for facilities management of new projects, working closely with architects, project managers, and kitchen designers to ensure optimal flow and design of new spaces. 

Implement new initiatives and programs in accordance with company policy and procedure. 

Vendor Relations: 

Work closely with and negotiate with external vendors to coordinate goods and services for special events, managing relationships and the bidding process to ensure the best service and most efficient cost. 

Oversee all vendor management related to food, beverage, and events, participating/leading regular meetings, as necessary. 

Direct, measure, and maintain performance-based standards for RFP process and overall management of contractors. 

Quality Control: 

Identify defects in the preparation and service of food and with vendors to implement improved quality control procedures. 

Interact with the Health Department for compliance and permit acquisition/renewal. 

Track costs and trends of food expenditures and provide timely operational and financial reports relative to the overall efficiency and compliance conditions of all contracted and temporal food service activities. 

Special Projects: 

Research and suggest improvements for increased service and point of sale (POS) opportunities. 

Assist with pricing models and the selection of food service providers at domestic locations as required. 

Develop and consult with the Sr. Dir. of Admin Srvcs. on ongoing facility and maintenance expenditures as forecasted through the annual departmental budget. 

Oversight of quarterly food safety and sanitation reports and compliance review. 

Other Duties: 

Work to enhance strategic meeting management processes, working with contracted hotels, venues, and F&B companies to deliver the requestor’s vision at the best dollar possible and in compliance with corporate policies. 

Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for food service staff. 

Other duties as assigned.

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits:

$126,400.00 - $189,600.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted.
