Senior Manager, Finance - South East Asia

The Senior Manager, Analysis & Control - South East Asia provides commentary on monthly, quarterly, and full-year trading and movements, as well as consolidation and dissemination of all monthly regional financial reporting.


HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Your role is important, and below are some of the fundamental job duties that make your work unique.

Assist in the preparation for the monthly/quarterly business report (MBR & QBR) meetings.

Provide day-to-day financial and commercial decision support to RFDs and Country FD’s as required.

Improve analytics use to enhance trading performance, profitability, and balance-sheet focus.

Coordinate, track, and verify budget changes.

Ensure all hotels complete and submit relevant budget review packs.

Provide support throughout the budget process (ad hoc analysis, market data).

Assist in capital investment planning and analysis.

Oversight of the financing plans for the above property sales and marketing structures in various countries.

Support in the analysis of current and proposed initiatives as required (including dining programs).

Manage and coordinate the provision of the hotel's annual audited financial statements.

Review and audit the monthly hotel Director of Finance (DOF) checklists for shortcomings.

Review and consolidate the hotel's Quarterly SOX certification.

Consolidate and suggest actions pertaining to the bi-annual policy waiver process.

Undertake at least one on-site audit of the financial records and Management Agreement compliance of at least one hotel per month.

Ensure the agreed-upon Management Action Plans are properly completed after internal audits.

Undertake desktop audit reviews on an ad hoc basis – potentially focused on a particular control, a particular balance sheet account, or a process.

Randomly spot check a hotel's responses to the Management Agreement compliance program.

Reporting and Analysis to support business decisions.

Support Regional Operations Finance by delivering tools that assist in the review and analysis of hotel operations and specific property analysis.

Provide provocative analysis that stimulates action and support analysis for Owner negotiations/discussions.

Analyzing the monthly rolling forecast submissions and sharing the findings with RFD and other stakeholders.

Keeping track of the performance test applicability and ensuring regular checks and action plans are in place.

Work closely with Country FDs for HOTSTAT (Benchmarking vs. comp sets) and help drive performance.

Develop tools for in-depth analysis of hotel financial performance.

Assist in help consolidating the data for talent management

FF&E tracking, spending projections, and regular consolidation of FF&E information.

Management of all information in one SharePoint for all stakeholders.

Essential finance experience within hotel operations.

Strong communication skills across presentations, writing, and public speaking.

Demonstrates high ethical standards and discretion with sensitive information. 

Proactive, self-directed, and able to prioritise and execute actions to meet goals.

Strong administrative, organisational, and problem-solving skills. 

Proficient in computer systems and training techniques. 

Solid understanding of general ledger structures. 

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and analytical tools.
