This will be a hybrid Monday- Friday standard business hour position. The hybrid model currently is 4 days a week in-office, Fridays from home.
Enterprise and Operational Risk Management (EORM) effectively identifies, measures, and manages risk across all subsidiaries and affiliates to support Schwab’s strategic and business objectives. The Risk Technology and Application Management team within EORM manages several risk management technology areas and applications for the company, including a growing number of technology products that support risk programs across Corporate Risk Management including cryptocurrency.
What you’ll do:
The Senior Manager position is an individual contributor role within the Risk Technology and Application Management organization supporting cryptocurrency risk applications. This opportunity will require a dynamic and engaging professional to further support improvement of Schwab’s current state product management practices, while enabling our future state risk frameworks, processes, and associated technologies to be realized. This position provides a high-visibility opportunity to influence innovation, Agile adoption, and implement business-critical change in a rapidly evolving regulatory environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as a Product Owner for the Scrum teams that develop the Corporate Risk Management technology solutions that you are accountable for:Assist in developing a strategy and roadmap to evolve risk management crypto applications to support Corporate Risk Management and firm business objectives.Serving as subject matter expert for business partners and technology providing direction and prioritization of outcomes and working through the implementation of the Crypto Risk application including enhancements and issues.Conduct interviews with internal stakeholders; manage feedback to gain insights into future product opportunities.Function as Product Owner and utilize appropriate methodology to collaborate with development and QA teams to manage implementation of technology projects, as needed.Elicit, identify, document, and refine requirements from business problems to detailed user stories and acceptance criteria including technical requirementsDevelop a fast-paced product development culture to create, test, release, and measure product valueMeeting, building relationships, and gathering requirements from various stakeholders and documenting those requirements in a manner consistent with department standardsWork with CRM Strategy, planning and analytics teams to develop and manage requirements for metrics to capture product adoptionAssist with onboarding cryptocurrency risk technology products:Define and implement product management best practices in areas such as: Product Governance, Access Management, Information/Documentation Management, Data & Reporting, and Technology managementUnderstand and implement vendor hosted AI solutions to advance the future of risk applicationsResearch, analyze and process data from applications for audit, regulatory exams or other asksThis is a summary only and duties and responsibilities may be changed from time to time, or over time.
What you haveRequired Qualifications:
5-10 years of product management/business experience related to Cryptocurrency and risk functionalities5+ years as a technical product owner3+ years of experience with bank, brokerage, or financial servicesTechnical understanding of agile methodology and SDLC processIndependent judgment with strong analytical skillsStrong written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability in communicating with different business partnersSelf-motivated and able to bring projects to conclusionHighly responsive, leveraging ability to multi-task, work efficiently and meet tight deadlinesRisk Management experience including AML, Fraud, and/or SanctionsSound judgment, planning, project management and organization skillsDemonstrate business acumen and the ability to apply technology solutions to solve business problemsBachelor’s degree required
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced programming experience utilizing Python and SQLKnowledge of evolving crypto regulations and enforcement typologiesCryptocurrency Certifications, such as ACAMS CCAS or CFCS C2SDExperience using SASUnderstanding of technology data structures and reporting toolsKnowledge of PowerApps Familiarity with tools such as Notabene, Chainalysis or TRM Labs is a plusWhat you’ll get:
