Role Summary We are seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Sr. leader to lead and optimize the organization's AWS cloud environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with AWS services, ensuring high availability, scalability, security, and cost-efficiency. Key responsibilities include overseeing cloud resources, implementing best practices, and leading a team of internal and external engineers. As well as migration of IT applications from one AWS cloud to another. Thus, collaboration with other teams and strong automation skills are essential. 7+ years of AWS experience and 5+ years of leading technical teams are required. Furthermore, Project management experience and skills are essential. This role is located at our Palo Alto, California office and reports into our IT Director. Responsibilities Manage and optimize the organization’s AWS infrastructure, ensuring it is highly available, scalable, secure, and cost-efficient. Migration of IT application from one AWS environment to another as well as taking care of the project management according to time, quality and budget Oversee the provisioning, configuration, and monitoring of cloud resources, including EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, Lambda, CloudWatch, and other AWS services. ● Develop and implement cloud infrastructure strategies and best practices, ensuring robust security and compliance with industry standards. Take an active role in cloud infrastructure architecture, deployment, and troubleshooting alongside your team. Perform hands-on management of cloud environments, including setting up, scaling, and maintaining AWS services, infrastructure automation, and deployment pipelines (CI/CD). ● Ensure proper cloud security measures are implemented (e.g., Identity and Access Management, encryption, compliance). Lead, mentor, and develop a team of internal and external cloud engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, growth, and innovation. Collaborate with DevOps, software engineering, and IT teams to define cloud requirements, troubleshoot issues, and ensure seamless integration between infrastructure and applications. Leverage tools such as AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, and Ansible to automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration. Implement CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application deployments, ensuring continuous improvement and streamlined operations. Implement and manage monitoring systems for cloud infrastructure performance, security, and availability using AWS CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, etc. ● Manage relationships with AWS and other third-party cloud service providers to ensure proper contract management and SLA adherence. Qualifications 7+ years of hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure management, specifically in AWS. 5+ years of experience in managing large IT projects in automotive or other large companies Proven experience with managing and optimizing AWS infrastructure, including EC2, VPC, RDS, S3, IAM, CloudFormation, Lambda, and more. 2+ years of experience in a leadership or managerial role, guiding and mentoring internal and external technical teams. Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, and Ansible. Experience with cloud monitoring, automation, and CI/CD pipelines in a production environment. Pay Disclosure Salary Range/Hourly Rate for Palo Alto, California Based Applicants: $191,600.00 - $239,500.00 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
