Role Summary and Impact

We're seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Senior Manager, Clients to lead integrated media strategy, planning, and execution for a portfolio of client accounts. This role is pivotal in driving client success by overseeing the holistic communication ecosystem, including offline, digital, and O2O solutions. You will be responsible for building strong client relationships, ensuring exceptional service delivery, and contributing to the strategic growth of our clients' businesses and the agency's capabilities.

 

Core Responsibilities:

Integrated Media Strategy & Planning: Develop and drive comprehensive integrated media strategies and plans that align with client objectives and deliver measurable results. This includes setting media objectives, establishing strategies, defining target audiences, and understanding the strengths and weaknesses of all media channels (traditional, digital, O2O).

Client Relationship Management: Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned client accounts, building and maintaining strong, trusted relationships with key client stakeholders. Proactively engage with clients to understand their business, brand situation, and communication flow.

Campaign Management & Implementation: Oversee the end-to-end implementation and optimization of media campaigns across all platforms. This includes working with key media partners for planning and negotiations, managing buying to the highest standards, and ensuring campaigns are tracked and measured against agreed KPIs.

Performance Analysis & Reporting: Analyze campaign performance data, develop optimizations, and provide regular, insightful reports and presentations to clients, highlighting key insights, recommendations, and ROI.

Team Leadership & Development: Assist Director and Team Leaders in coaching and mentoring junior staff, providing guidance to the extended local performance and ad operations teams, and helping to develop their digital capabilities and operational understanding.

Innovation & Thought Leadership: Anticipate, review, and present point-of-views on media trends, issues, developments, and opportunities. Proactively identify and bring innovative, cutting-edge solutions to clients.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with local market planning teams, internal specialist resources, and other internal departments to ensure seamless integration of online and offline media and effective execution of strategies.

Business Growth & Development: Identify opportunities to gain additional revenue from existing clients and actively participate in new business pitches, selling in new ideas and services.

Commercial Acumen: Understand the client’s market position to achieve optimal negotiation for clients and ensure projects/campaigns are tracked and measured based on agreed media efficiencies.

Required Skills & Experience:

Minimum 5 years of experience in media planning, buying, implementation, and client servicing within the media industry. Strong understanding and working knowledge of both traditional and new media across all platforms. Excellent client relationship management, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to persuade clients on new approaches. Strong analytical mind and problem-solving skills; proficient in Excel. Proven ability to develop and execute strategic media plans and translate them into effective buys. Experience in overseeing and quality controlling media monitoring, campaign optimization, and post-analysis. Fluenct in English and Cantonese. Fluency in Mandarin is a must for certain client portfolios. Demonstrated drive, initiative, and a "can do" attitude. Passion for "new" media communication and evolving technology.

Experience working in a matrixed organization. Knowledge of WPP Media brands and capabilities. Experience with organizational transformation and change management.
