Deliver excellent point-of-sales managementEnsure excellence in in-store activities execution and optimization (distribution, promotion, shelving)Lead trade negotiation and optimize trade spending at point of saleLead strategic key account management of assigned key accountsShare best practices around field sales force organization, sales tools improvement, hot zone activation and impulse

Main Responsibilities

Establish and execute business strategies that develop Export business within the Mondelēz International defined geography of Latin America and North America. Prepare business budgets and updates, present to senior management for approval.Direct process to estimate, track and communicate achievement of sales (revenue, profit & volume) objectives.Direct allocation and analysis of marketing budget investments to ensure results and maximize return of investment.Counsel the development and implementation of channel specific marketing and distribution strategies to increase agreed geographical and product coverage.Agree core/non-core portfolio, marketing support and distributor development with General Manager, Caribbean and BU management.Manage process to structure, recruit, develop and train Export Business Development team.

What you need to know about this position: The Senior Manager Americas Export Business Development & Strategy position is responsible for the performance of Mondelēz International Export Business in Latin America and North America from a commercial perspective and the long term strategy development through aligning Export Strategy with Americas and defining opportunities for profitable growth. Reporting to the Senior Manager are 3 Business Development Managers.

The America Export Business Unit operates within 45 countries via a network of 106 third-party customers who operate as Distributors in the Modern Trade, Traditional Trade, Wholesale, Club, Hyper and Foodservice/AFH channels.

The business portfolio categories are:  Beverages, Biscuits, Candy, Chocolate, Cheese and Grocery, which are comprised of 75 brands / 1,200 skus are globally sourced from Mondelēz, external co-manufacturers and licensors.

America Export Annual Est. Net Revenue: $100MM.

The Director Export Business Development & Strategy is a key member of the Caribbean Cluster Management team and reports directly to the VP North WACAM, Total Annual North WACAM Cluster Revenue*: +$700MM.

Job specific requirements:

Minimum 10 years of experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods industry with emphasis in marketing, trade marketing, sales, and export logistics. Previous experience in a people management/leadership role is required.Minimum 5 years of experience in dealing with and developing third party distributors (understanding of different channels of trade, high and low-end trade retailers).Complete understanding of Sales and Marketing principles and concepts.In depth Business understanding and experience – ability to understand business mechanisms.Fluency in English

Travel requirements: 40-50% international travel required.

The base salary range for this position is $137,300 to $188,825; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
