More specifically

Reporting to the Director, you will be leading advertising projects for the Quebec market as part of the overall branding strategy. You will contribute to brand visibility through brand initiatives, sponsorships, social impact programs and communications support for the Office of the President, Quebec. Your responsibilities will include developing strategies, writing and presenting briefs based on consumer insights, collaborating with agencies, developing creative and media, analyzing performance and communicating results to high-level stakeholders.

As Senior Brand Manager, you will play a key role on the national brand team, ensuring strategic coherence and alignment of Quebec initiatives with the organization’s overall priorities, while demonstrating a strong sense of anticipation and budget optimization.

You will work closely with internal marketing teams (sponsorships, lines of business, internal functions) and external agencies, ensuring strategic integration, rigorous execution and measurable performance.

More specifically, your responsibilities will be as follows:

Develop and lead advertising campaigns: strategy development, positioning, creative, media approach, execution specific to the Quebec market

Collaborate with internal teams to drive brand campaigns, sponsorships and social impact initiatives, including the development of briefs based on consumer insights, strategic alignment, oversight of deliverables, and marketing effectiveness

Ensure Quebec initiatives are strategically aligned with the national marketing plan, while identifying market-relevant differentiation opportunities

Actively contribute, with the Director, to the annual strategic planning, to identifying growth levers and to developing the overall advertising plan with the nuances of the Quebec market

Participate in developing strategic presentations to senior leadership, demonstrating the value of the brand as a strategic asset

Support, with the Director, the Office of the President, Quebec, in its key communications, integrating a clear positioning aligned with business priorities

Optimize existing advertising processes to improve the operational efficiency and strategic consistency of campaigns

Drive analysis of campaign performance to position the metric as a strategic lever and provide clear, strategic recommendations to senior management

Leverage consumer data and market trends to guide marketing decisions and generate sustainable competitive advantages

Managerial leadership:

Strong leadership in a matrix structure, combining influence without direct authority, cross-team collaboration and strategic management of stakeholders

Ability to lead projects with a strategic approach focused on optimizing resources, prioritizing higher-added-value initiatives for brand objectives

Drive change and strengthen strategic integration between national and Quebec teams

Act as a strategic advisor to internal and partner teams, demonstrating critical thinking, analytical rigour and a strong ability to summarize

What you’ll need to succeed in this role:

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business administration or other relevant related field

10–15 years of experience in marketing, advertising or brand management including the production of advertising campaigns

Excellent oral and written communication in both English and French, with the ability to produce impactful presentations for senior leadership

Expertise in the dynamics specific to the Quebec market and the ability to adapt global strategies to regional realities with nuance, rigour and creativity

Excellent ability to develop structured strategic thinking, articulate a clear vision for different audiences and translate it into measurable concrete plans

Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach: a team spirit that allows for diverse perspectives and partnerships

Results-oriented: adept at analyzing data to better understand what works well and develop recommendations to maximize marketing effectiveness

Demonstrated ability to align creative goals with strategic objectives and ensure compliance with brand standards

Tight project management and ability to prioritize initiatives with highly strategic and operational impact

Skills:

Strong leadership skills combined with the ability to build lasting relationships

Strong team spirit with the ability to manage relationships with a high level of diplomacy

In-depth expertise in advertising, strategy and media for the Quebec market with a view to growing a brand

Excellent written, oral and presentation skills

Demonstrated experience in managing relationships with advertising agencies and suppliers

Demonstrated ability to produce during periods of intense pressure

Ability to meet deadlines, manage costs, impact and influence business results and manage multiple priorities

Advanced organizational skills, including analytical thinking to solve highly complex problems

Courage and self-confidence to handle problems and communicate information on a large scale

You're fluent in French and English to support business operations outside the province of Quebec.

Salary:

$86,000.00 - $160,000.00

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.

BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
