Job Description

The Visa Commercial Solutions (VCS) team is a world-class commercial organization experiencing tremendous growth as we expand into new payment flows and continue to grow our core solutions. Our team brings payment solutions and associated services to clients around the globe.  Our global clients and partners deploy our solutions to serve the needs of Small Businesses, Middle Market Clients, Large Corporate Clients, Multi Nationals and Governments.  We work closely with Issuers, Merchants, FinTechs and other ecosystem players to deliver these services.  We believe that the market is at an inflection point whereby Visa can play a larger role in building and delivering solutions around the world. 

 

There is a rapid shift from plastic to digital credentials within the B2B payments ecosystem, mirroring and building upon the same shift within consumer payments over the past decade. We are seeking a candidate who can design B2B payment solutions to solve for clients’ and partners’ business problems and drive opportunities to advance the VCS business.  

 

If you are passionate about B2B payments and have a track record of delivery and working with clients, we invite you to join our team and make an impact on the future of B2B commerce.  We are looking for a Sr Manager, B2B Pre-sales and Solution Design to provide technical solutioning for client and partner opportunities.  Focus areas will be virtual cards, API and FinTech integration, and embedded payments.

 

You will be successful in this role if you have:

A deep understanding and practical application of B2B payments, SaaS solutions, and APIs.

A passion for working with clients and delivering powerful solutions..

Experience in Product, Sales, and/or Solution Design.

Collaborative skills to work with cross-functional teams.

Understanding of both the business and technical aspects of payments and a track record of delivering solutions that exceed client expectations

 

Responsibilities

Work with sales teams to support the pre-sales engagement with key distribution partners for Visa solutions (issuers, enablers, service providers, FinTechs, ERPs), gaining deeper understanding of SMB and Large-Middle Market needs, priorities and use cases to support the sell in cycle.

Drive the expansion of Visa’s B2B payment capabilities by delivering technical sales solutioning to clients and integrated partners

Collaborate with partners and lead solution design for opportunities to advance Visa’s B2B and embedded payment offerings

Partner with sales and solution teams in region to close a deal, identify best in class ways to implement existing products to solve new business problems and capture requirements for areas that require development.

Be an innovator who applies creative, out-of-the-box thinking to enhance Visa Commercial Solutions and design new offerings that address the evolving needs of clients and partners.

Drive focused discovery sessions and workshops with financial institutions and technology providers across a range of industries to understand client’s specific business requirements and value drivers.

Bring breadth of knowledge and technical expertise to solution for new use cases, FinTechs, and verticals.  Enable use cases related to commercial applications with the goal of scaling. Develop a solution design and the necessary configuration that will effectively demonstrate that Visa can address the client’s needs and provide business value

Act as a subject matter expert on product capabilities, use cases, and roadmap.  Support stakeholder questions related to products and services.  

Confidently present and articulate the business value of your proposed solution to leaders and executives.

 

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
- 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)

Preferred Qualifications
- 8+ years of relevant sales engineering or product management experience. Relevant product experience will be beneficial. However, this role is primarily focused on consulting with clients and partners to creatively enable their solutions with existing Visa product capabilities
- Solid understanding of B2B payments with in-depth knowledge of virtual card payments, value-added solutions for corporates, payment tokenization, and issuer processing platforms/providers
- Proven ability to translate client needs into solution designs by adapting existing products and services
- Experience with modern API concepts, technical integration, and file delivery
- Proven ability to manage initiatives end-to-end to meet client commitments
- Works independently with limited supervision
- Strong oral and written communications. Able to communicate complex, technical concepts in a focused and well-organized manner
- Willingness to take on new challenges, explore new ideas and be flexible with changing priorities
