The Decision Science team helps our operating companies solve their most challenging problems and drives decisions with data. The Sr. Manager of Applied Analytics is at the center of data and analytical innovation and adoption. We help all the businesses in our portfolio drive revenue, control costs, optimize key processes and fuel a data driven culture. In the role of the Sr. Manager of Applied Analytics, you will drive value by leading multiple Enterprise Analytic programs that lead cross functional teams to solve problems around what we buy, make, sell and manage. You will be collaborating with our divisions to find thoughtful solutions that embed and promote applied analytics, advance the business with self-service, empower them to elevate and resolve issues and deliver training to further business process evolution.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ **_DELIVERING VALUE:_** Over the last six years, we have delivered over millions of dollars in ROI in value measured in revenue lift, cost save, cost avoidance and time saved. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg. The Sr. Manager of Applied Analytics is the primary driver to find the most impactful projects to work on and determines the best way to deliver results. Take responsibility for the end-to-end ownership of the Applied Analytics reporting team, including delivery of high-quality data, self-service, and machine learning solutions, aligning to the overall strategic objectives by:
+ Engage with business leaders to understand their strategies, recommend solutions to get them what they need to know and take accountability for quality delivery of projects on time.
+ Grow the Applied Analytics team to deliver end-to-end data and analytics projects to conduct advanced analysis, mine insights, recommend business opportunities, and measure impact.
+ Translate complex analytical findings into actionable insights for C-suite stakeholders, employing advanced data visualization techniques.
+ Promote and exemplify the analytic, organizational and project delivery practices of the Decision Science team to elevate analytic maturity around the enterprise.
+ Drive the adoption of a collaborative working model through influence across the divisions.
+ Think like an owner of the Enterprise Analytic programs and report value, cost and status like a product manager and select projects and initiatives that will return the maximum value for the program.
+ Drive change by managing transitions, ensuring that business continuity is maintained throughout the change process and new workflows are effectively integrated with no business disruption.
+ **_CULTIVATE A DATA DRIVEN CULTURE:_** Evangelize, mentor and teach Applied Analytics and improving data driven decisions across the Post Holdings network through influential leadership and guidance.
+ Lead, support and grow audiences that foster the advancement of analytics initiatives, spread knowledge and spark excitement for the adoption and maturity of Tableau and driving value.
+ Empathize and understand the business anthropology of how decisions are made and devise change management practices to incorporate new analytic assets into their workflow easily.
+ Take accountability for the value delivered of the analytic assets the team creates and drive use.
+ Manage the user facing delivery and production responsibilities so that people have the right information, in the right context, in the right delivery channel when they need it.
+ **_INNOVATION:_** Foster innovation by keeping abreast of emerging technologies and foster development of the team’s skill.
+ Keep a full pipeline of prospective ideas for the generating value out of the data a be a problem finder to uncover opportunities for improvement in the business.
+ Rethink the status quo with new data products, technologies, and innovative problem solutions.
+ Seek to simplify process, architecture and tool selection over time with elegant design.
+ Effectively manage end-to-end proof of concept projects by starting with problem definition, technology selection, system vetting, competitive analysis, benefit analysis and ending with vendor selection and implementation.

**Qualifications**
**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS**
+ 10-15 years of relevant experience in reporting for a line of business, management consulting, data science, or working in an applied analytics role.
+ Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university and advanced degree preferred (Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Economics, Finance, Business, Mathematics, Statistics, or other quantitative subject a plus) or 10 + years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
+ 7-10 years of experience designing solutions with business intelligence, reporting, or data visualization software packages (Tableau, PowerBI, Looker, Cognos, R Shiny, D3, Python matplotlib)
+ Demonstrated ability of 5 – 10 years of managing people and projects
+ 2-4 years of experience in an object-oriented programming language (Python 3.x preferred). Knowledge of software design (libraries, classes, functions), testing (logging, debugging), and versioning (Git, continuous deployment)
+ Must have a team player mentality that is results driven, customer focused, values learning and innovation and thinks data analytics is FUN!
+ Experience with machine learning platforms and cloud computing, e.g., Microsoft Azure ML (preferred),
**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**
+ At least 10 years’ experience in consumer-packaged goods, with deep knowledge in either marketing or manufacturing and possesses strong business acumen and consistently demonstrates forward thinking.
+ At least 7 years’ experience with reporting system and data warehouse requirements gathering, analysis and design of ELT/ETL processes using Informatica IICS, dbt or other ETL tools and knowledge of relational database design, implementation & SQL knowledge.
+ Strong knowledge of ERPs such as JDE, Oracle EBS, Netsuite or SAP is a plus.
+ Excellent cognitive, analytical and problem-solving skills.
+ Superior oral and written communication skills, especially email and PowerPoint.
+ Proactively investigates new technologies, learns new skills quickly and has an insatiable appetite for new knowledge.
+ Able to effectively work with ambiguous or incomplete information and is unphased by change.
+ Ability to function under close deadlines with minimal supervision.
+ Must be able to effectively and efficiently manage priorities for teams with competing priorities, and ensure follow-through on committed deliverables using team-based project management with both Agile and Waterfall approaches
This is a hybrid role based in St. Louis, MO. In office days are Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Work from home days are Mondays and Fridays.
