Manager, Software Development

As a manager at Global Payments, you will take ownership for the delivery of business critical products.
We are looking for someone to manage a delivery team that can lead innovation, drive improvements, set
technical direction, and consistently meet the needs of the business.
You will:
● Manage technical talent acquisition, growth and retention
● Work with product and key stakeholders to set desired product roadmaps
● Drive critical improvements to stay ahead of the growing business needs
● Evaluate new technologies and delivery practices
● Drive accurate and efficient project estimates
● Create project plans, identify dependencies and risks, and allocate resources
● Develop capacity plans and skills assessments
● Stay up to date on the latest security threats and secure application design and coding practices
● Manage third party consultants
● Lead the design, craftsmanship, availability, resilience, security and scalability of your solutions
● Foster a culture to stay on top of technology trends and participate in technology communities
● Encourage innovation, inclusion, teamwork, self-organization, and diversity
● Lead and mentor a team of development, quality assurance, and support engineers
● Simultaneously drive multiple large initiatives potentially across multiple scrum teams
● Prepare and present technical presentations and project status
● Provide required information for the annual budget
Basic Qualifications:
At least 3 years’ experience in software development management
At least 13 years’ experience in .NET software development
At least 3 years’ experience in agile practices and project management
Bachelor's Degree
Real-time processing and high-volume service development experience
Preferred Qualifications:
● 4+ years’ experience in software development management
● Experience developing and managing cloud solutions
● Payments industry experience
