What you'll be doing
You’ll be joining CIBC’s Financial Crime and Enterprise Risk Technology (FC&ERT) Team. You’ll manage a team that leads complex projects that design strategic solutions aligned to CIBC’s enterprise architecture roadmap. As a Senior Manager, Application Development within the Enterprise Risk Technology (ERT) team, you’ll be responsible for leading a development team (up to 10 team members), providing technical guidance to the team, managing large multi packages project deliverables across varied technologies and ensuring overall delivery quality. The role also requires the planning and coordination of application components to be delivered as part of large releases, Agile sprints, and standalone deployments. This will require extensive communication with internal & external technology teams and business partners to ensure deliverables are completed in line with the development timeline and scope.

How you'll succeed
Understanding Requirements – Track and analyze operating environment for specified services and implement corrective actions as needed. Work with clients and internal partners to determine, negotiate, and manage services to the agreed standards. Monitor service levels to identify opportunities for improvement and recommend appropriate solutions.Delivery Focused – Oversee the development, testing and implementation of multiple, complex, organization-wide systems. Work closely with internal technology partners to determine and manage projects to the agreed upon scope and timeline. Define the roadmap and Identify opportunities for design or process improvement and recommend appropriate solutions. Under your leadership implement projects in a timely fashion that are of high quality, within timeline and on budget.People Leadership – Lead and coach a high performing group team of individuals. Direct, motivate, and develop your team, maximizing their contributions and professional growth. Share knowledge and collaborate to come up with effective solutions to problems.Relationship Management – Help internal partners make informed decisions about dependences, issues, risks and priorities of deliverables and work closely with project teams on resolution and risk mitigation.Who you are
You can demonstrate experience with 3-5 years’ leading a team of developers and are a seasoned professional with the ability to coach and help develop other team members. You are a code quality champion with hands-on experience in Software Design using SOLID Design principles. Ideally, you are adept at Design Solutioning and have proven experience with .NET, ReactJS, AngularJS, SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, Microsoft Azure, API Architecture, Agile and Dev/Ops. It’s an Asset if: you understand patterns of designing applications for cloud and have knowledge of Agile methodology and experience working in a Scrum team.You are a bold and authentic leader.
