Senior Manager, Analytic Strategy and Innovation

We are looking for a superstar Senior Manager, Analytic Strategy and Innovation to lead projects and programs within Commercial Analytics. Reporting to Lead of Analytic Strategy and Innovation, you will be an integral part of the ASI organization supporting project management and planning needs for a prioritized set of projects. In this role, you will partner with data scientists, data engineers, and insights leads to track activities under cross functional projects as Commercial Analytics.

The ideal candidate is someone with strong experience in leading cross functional teams on large scale projects, with a passion for analytics and data and comfort with ambiguity. You have great communication skills and can influence others with facts and stay cool under pressure. You are intellectually curious and love to learn.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage a wide array of projects and initiatives pertaining to Promotional, Marketing, Media Analytics, MROI, Digital Marketing Analytics, Content Analytics, etc.

• Develop plans for large scale analytics initiatives, working collaboratively large matrixed teams of IIS, Data Scientists, Engineers, Analytics Excellence, and other teams.

• Leveraging superior oral and written communication skills to communicate the strategic narrative of your analytics projects.

• Identify new business opportunities and developing solutions that balance impact, cost, resourcing, timeline, success likelihood, and risk.

• Translate business needs into initiatives with well-defined business requirements.

• Where appropriate, lead Jira-based Agile project implementation for the team ensuring accurate task assignment and status updates for leadership.

• Provide day-to-day project management that includes, coordinating activities by internal teams and partners, tracking progress towards achievements, continuously adapting plans to changes, and keeping teams and leadership updated on status.

• Lead regular project communication with teammates, partners, and leadership and conducting periodic reviews with executive sponsors.

• Provide business-critical metrics to inform workload of the Analytics team for the APM Team Lead and creating analytic products to track these metrics.

• Develop partnerships with key leaders across a variety of teams to support current and future initiatives.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• BA/BS in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or similar required.

• 6+ years of strong experience, progressive levels of responsibility with analytics or consulting, within commercial, sales or marketing analytics, or other related settings.

• The ability to filter and distill relevant information for the right audience.

• Experience in using KPI/OKR methodology.

• A creative problem solver with an excellent ability to influence without authority.

• Solid sense of ownership, customer service, collaboration, and integrity

• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills across all organizational levels.

• Proactive in approach, focus on innovation and ability to learn new technologies.

• Ability to manage conflicting project ideas, to ensure all voices are heard, and to own the hard calls.

• Ability to work outside own area of expertise, perform business discovery, simplify problems, extract key information, and propose innovative solutions.

• Healthcare industry experience, with understanding of commercial processes

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Data science or machine learning experience, Management consulting, or other relevant product management experience.

• Experience in marketing analytics areas: media analytics, customer analytics, marketing mix, creative analytics.

• Experience in sales analytics areas: sales targeting, territory alignments, scorecards, incentive compensation design, etc

• Experience in commercial analytics areas: e.g. forecasting, descriptive brand analytics, visualizations

• Experience in data strategies: e.g. data warehousing, data engineering & staging

• Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2, PMI-ACP, CSM, SAFe) also preferred, or similar agile based training

Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.

Work location: Flexible; 2-3 days onsite/week

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $120,800.00 to $201,400.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 17.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
