What You Will Do:

Pratt & Whitney Commercial Engines is seeking a dynamic Senior Manager (P5) to join our North America Aftermarket Operations (AMO) organization.


AMO encompasses a network of business units specializing in aircraft engine overhaul and part repair, serving both Pratt & Whitney and a diverse range of global customers.

As the Senior Manager, you will lead activities across AMO’s North America business units, requiring a collaborative and results-oriented leadership style to drive success.

The person in this role will play a pivotal role as the central focal point for driving a regionally integrated strategy to achieve two critical objectives:

Drive sustainable reductions in overall shop visit cost

Improving engine overhaul turnaround time (TAT)

These objectives are vital to ensuring program health and enhancing financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Drive aligned understanding of program P&L shop visit cost models as influenced by activities performed within AMO engine centers and repair facilities.

Outline and review current state processes for data flow and cross functional collaboration. Drive efficiency and effectiveness improvements as needed.

Identify most appropriate metrics/KPIs for monitoring cost and TAT drivers; generate actionable mitigations efforts (“rolling action items”).

Maintain and manage a listing of rolling action items aligned to improving cost and TAT performance.

Own resolution of rolling action items through appropriate stakeholder collaboration.

Establish and chair appropriate forums and review cadences.

Spearhead strategic alignment globally across AMO through collaboration with counterparts outside of AMO North America.

Support other strategic organizational initiatives as needed.

Demonstrate ethical leadership and compliance.

Travel (10%) to PW engine center DATs in Columbus, GA and West Palm Beach, FL on occasion.

Qualifications You Must Have

Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of experience in Engineering, Operations, Project Management, Data Analytics; OR Advanced Degree and 7+ years of relevant industry experience.

5+ years of experience within Aerospace or Aftermarket industry, ideally within a part repair station or DAT engine center.

Qualifications We Prefer

Advanced degree in STEM, Project Management, or Operations.

5+ years of experience in Aftermarket overhaul and repair industry (MRO).

5+ years of experience with disassembly, assembly and test (DAT) process and quality standards, ideally within a turbofan engine environment.

Experience in shop floor or operational settings with knowledge of cost and efficiency drivers.

Familiarity with airline engine maintenance costs and contract financial details.

Proven ability to establish or enhance business processes in a matrixed environment.

Proficiency in leveraging data, KPIs, and metrics to drive outcomes.

Strong communication skills: presentation, written, and verbal.

Strategic thinker with sound business judgment and innovative mindset.

Strong analytical skills and business acumen.

Results-driven with the ability to multi-task and thrive in fast-paced environments.

Skilled in building relationships and driving results through organizational savvy.

Knowledge of Pratt & Whitney’s headquarters structure, functions, and stakeholders is a plus.

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
