**Description**
Fuel the growth of the Specialty⁃Multi Channel (SMC) for the Estee Lauder brand in North America by developing and executing tailored strategies to win in this channel.
Serve as the link between Account Management and Education and Sales teams to identify opportunities to make the in⁃store and event strategies more impactful, participate heavily in the development of corresponding initiatives and roll them out to the field with excellence.
Directly manage key SMC⁃specific initiatives and ensure timely and clear communication with our field partners.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead SMC In⁃Store Sales Strategies & Field Communication
⁃ Contribute to the achievement of SMC sales plans by identifying, developing and executing in⁃store strategies that are tailored, relevant and appropriate for the Ulta/Sephora shopper
⁃ Serve as main point of contact for Field team to ensure they have the tools to win in their territories
⁃ Host monthly rally call with Field Directors and key Field Executives to communicate key dates, strategies, promotions and in⁃store activities. Participate in ad⁃hoc Field team calls as needed
⁃ Lead process for all SMC trainings, serving as liaison between EL field, education and retailer teams. Manage calendar, gratis, and setup, create guidelines for programming with cross functional teams
⁃ Elevate and share best practices across field and office teams. Ensure all cross⁃functional teams are well⁃versed on what it takes to win in SMC and that best practices are integrated into 360 activations
⁃ Analyze and leverage sales data to develop and manage new programs that drive business results
⁃ Manage ad⁃hoc projects on an as⁃needed basis (e.g., damages, testers, focus products, etc.)
Coach and Develop SMC Teams
⁃ Build high⁃talent SMC teams⁃ Coordinators, Freelancers and Beauty Specialists ⁃ with impactful onboarding, coaching, and development
⁃ Manage all onboarding and coaching for joint staffing tests/partnerships as relevant, in coordination with retailer teams
⁃ Ensure SMC teams are experts in the Ulta/Sephora ecosystem, coach skills and capabilities needed to be successful in these environments (relationship building, results oriented, etc)
⁃ Serve as link between Account Management and Education to ensure that all training materials are adapted to SMC environment and best practices are integrated
⁃ Together with education, lead regular trainings for key SMC moments
SMC Event Strategy and Execution
⁃ Ensure Sephora and Ulta events are impactful, on⁃brand and achieve event sales goals
⁃ Partner with EL education team in development of seasonal evening concepts and plans tailored to Ulta and Sephora environments, including TOAs
⁃ Serve as EL's link with Ulta Events team, ensuring processes are followed and events are scheduled/booked/executed accordingly
⁃ Meet with the Ulta and Sephora Corporate Events team quarterly to ensure event content and execution strategies are relevant to their respective retailer objectives
⁃ Enable teams to maximize local relevance within provided event concept
⁃ Track and report event results, measure performance and identify areas of opportunity
**Qualifications**
⁃ Undergraduate degree required
⁃ 7+ years of sales/education experience, Ulta/Sephora experience a must
⁃ Strong analytical skills with ability to use Microsoft Excel to manipulate data and extract key insights and actions
⁃ Experience with sales measurement and understanding of key sales performance metrics, understanding of store operations, retail culture and cosmetics industry
⁃ Ability to work well under pressure, lead, influence, and coach
⁃ Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
⁃ Strong organizational and time management skills
