Key Accountabilities

Compile Practice management accounts, budgets, and quarterly forecast, along with commentaries & associated reporting.Deep understanding and analysis of productivity reporting on a weekly, monthly basis, with a focus on non-productive time.Work with practice directors to highlight gaps in workload. Highlight anomalies and errors for resolution.Review and proactively resolve issues relating to missing time and associated earnings.Effectively communicate reason for variances in volumes, returns and absence profiles of staff.Thorough review of overheads and proactive challenge and resolution of issues and errors.Understand, monitor, and communicate key drivers behind the salary control account processPreparation of Flash reporting on a weekly basis.Active communication and reviews with the Senior FC for the Practices and the Practice management.Oversee quarterly Practice forecast and associated reporting and engage with the resourcing and workplan process.Ad hoc projects and support to the Senior Financial Controller.

Professional & Technical skills

6+ years of experience working in the accounting function of a sizeable international companyTechnically proficient in preparing and reviewing management accounts, budget and forecastsGood inter-personal skills and comfortable in dealing with senior colleaguesExperience in working for a consultancy business, especially an engineering consultancy, would be a significant advantageKnowledge and experience of the following would be an advantage: JD Edwards; Oracle ERP; Oracle EPM (ePBCS)Excellent Excel spreadsheet skills and exposure to Power BI Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize own workloadStrong sense of ownership, drive and ability to deliver resultsGreat attention to detailGood team player with positive attitudeStrong planning and problem-solving skills with an ability to analyze information and processes.

Preferred Qualifications

Part qualified CA, CMA, ACCABachelor's degree – Preferably B-Com / Master’s degree
