Our Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar. In PSLD, as within all of Caterpillar, our priority is our customers and helping them build a better world. PSLD is responsible for the worldwide distribution of Cat aftermarket parts, integrated logistics, and global service to develop and support our global dealer network and customers.
The Caterpillar Logistics Center in Grimbergen is among the best in the world and so are our products. Our Logistics Center is an indispensable link in the chain. From here we support our supply chain at every turn. Every day, thousand of spare parts leave our warehouse for dealers and customers all over the world.
Within the Global Parts Supply (GPS) team, working with suppliers is key. As GPS, we are responsible for all supplier communications and hence the vital link between the supplier and the customer. Our mission is to ensure a healthy supply chain in the Caterpillar aftermarket and avoid shortages in the network leading into customer back orders. To be successful, we have challenging goals to measure our supplier's on time ship performance. On a daily base we liaise with suppliers and drive accountability for their results, the goals are challenging yet achievable and key to guarantee superior service levels.
As a Senior Logistics Planning Analyst, you are Responsible to ensure timely and high-quality deliveries to our distribution center and secure parts availability for end customers.
Responsibilities:
• Hold suppliers to performance standards and business goals.
• Work with transportation, procurement, inventory management, and engineering teams.
• Develop deep understanding of our supply chain systems and processes.
Key Tasks:
• Maintain strong communication with internal teams and external suppliers.
• Monitor supplier performance and suggest improvements.
• Identify and correct schedule variation.
• Support changes and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Address data irregularities and implement sustainable corrective actions.
• Provide support for high-priority back orders and ensure cost-effective operations.
Qualifications:
• Master’s degree or equivalent experience.
Skills:
Effective Communication:
• Strong written and oral skills in English; French, German, Dutch are an asset.
• Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
• Build relationships and collaborate effectively.
Analytical Thinking:
• Define problems and determine their significance.
• Compare alternative solutions systematically.
• Use flow charts, Pareto charts, fish diagrams to reveal data patterns.
