Description Job Description: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Logistics Analyst with a strong background in ocean freight and shipment data analysis. This role is key to ensuring smooth end-to-end logistics operations, from carrier bookings to final delivery, and requires close coordination with internal stakeholders, steamship lines, vendors, and third-party logistics providers. Key Responsibilities: + Ocean Freight & Carrier Coordination: + Manage and oversee all aspects of ocean freight logistics, including direct communication with steamship lines and carriers. Book shipments and act as a liaison between vendors, freight agents, and carriers to ensure accurate and timely shipments. + Data Analysis & Reporting: + Analyze shipment and inventory data in Excel to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvement. Provide actionable insights and recommendations to improve logistics efficiency. + Documentation & Compliance: + Handle and review Bills of Lading and other shipping documentation for accuracy and compliance. Coordinate with relevant teams to resolve any documentation issues. + Excel Reporting: + Use intermediate Excel functions (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) to maintain and interpret pre-built reports and dashboards. Generate weekly/monthly logistics performance summaries. + ERP System Interaction: + Update shipment data and logistics workflows within an ERP system. Experience with NetSuite (Oracle) is a plus; however, training will be provided for candidates with experience in other ERP platforms. + Cross-Functional Collaboration: + Work closely with internal departments such as procurement, sales, and finance to ensure alignment on delivery timelines and shipment accuracy. Requirements Qualifications: + 3–5+ years of experience in international logistics or supply chain operations, specifically in ocean freight. + Strong understanding of freight operations, documentation, and carrier relations. + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data manipulation). + Familiarity with Bills of Lading and international shipping documentation. + ERP experience required; NetSuite/Oracle preferred but not mandatory. + Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and cross-functionally. + Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
