Position Overview
The CoStar Group Senior Litigation Support Manager will provide critical legal and administrative support for litigation matters. The successful candidate will support CoStar Group’s Litigation and Employment Law teams and will report to the Associate General Counsel – Head of Employment Law and the Associate General Counsel – Head of Litigation.
This role is responsible for managing case-related processes, facilitating communication between stakeholders, and ensuring the efficient operation of legal matters within the organization. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, data-driven environment, demonstrates excellent judgment, and can manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
This position is located in CoStar Group’s Arlington, VA headquarters, and is in-office Monday through Friday.
Key Responsibilities
Litigation Support: Provide litigation support, including calendaring deadlines, maintaining case files, tracking case status, collecting documents in collaboration with external legal counsel and internal custodians, drafting potential witness lists, and managing litigation holds as required for ongoing or anticipated legal matters. Insurance Reporting & Contact: Coordinate insurance-related reporting and serve as a point of contact for insurance matters relevant to ongoing cases.
Internal Reporting: Generate and distribute internal reports on case status, resolution methods, amounts, and timelines to ensure transparency and informed decision-making. Support the preparation of quarterly case reports and updates to business stakeholders, ensuring timely and accurate communication of case progress and outcomes.
Finance Coordination: Liaise with finance contacts to facilitate litigation-related payments, ensuring compliance with organizational policies.
AI Tool Development: Participate in the development and implementation of AI tools to enhance legal operations and case management efficiency.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required from an accredited, not for profit, in-person college/university.
A track record of commitment to prior employers.
At least 8 years of general litigation or employment litigation paralegal experience at a law firm and/or in-house legal department.
Preferred Qualifications
Paralegal certification.
At least 2 years of relevant work experience at an AmLaw 100 law firm and/or the legal department for a multinational corporation.
Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
Strong proficiency with Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Familiarity with analytical tools such as Power BI and a willingness to engage in process improvement initiatives.
Ability to collaborate across departments and manage multiple priorities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
Experience with insurance and finance processes related to legal matters.
Interest or experience in legal technology and AI-driven solutions.
