**MANTECH** seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented **Senior Linux Engineer** to join our team in **Camp Springs, MD** . This is a hybrid position. This position involves comprehensive system engineering, ensuring the stability, performance, and security of these environments through testing, scripting, and proactive monitoring, while also supporting virtualization technologies and collaborating on cloud migrations. **Key Responsibilities:** + Analyze, design, develop, and integrate hardware and software to support large-scale LINUX environments with virtualization. + Test large-scale LINUX and virtual environments. + Perform a variety of engineering and operational assignments related to Storage operations, backup operations, and virtualization software (VMware's vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V) on enterprise-level IT systems. + Proactively monitor systems for Disk/CPU/Memory/Network utilization and overall system health. + Implement High Availability for federal agency systems. + Install Operating Systems, hardware, and software. + Troubleshoot hardware and software hosting mission-critical applications. **Required Qualifications:** + Analysis related to design, development, and integration of hardware and software to support large scale Linux environments with virtualization including RedHat + 10 years+ experience with large scale LINUX and virtual environments. + Experience performing a variety of engineering and operational related assignments associated with Storage operations, backup operations, and virtualization software (VMware’s vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V on a set of enterprise-level IT systems. + 10 years+ experience writing scripts with a scripting language, with knowledge of ANSIBLE + Familiarity with DevOps and ITIL processes + Experienced in AWS, AZURE, Google Cloud Services, and other Cloud environments + Demonstrated experience in automation of routine tasks and associated industry leading toolsets **Preferred Qualifications:** + Relevant cloud and RedHat linux certification(s) **Security Clearance** : + Must be able to pass USCIS background investigation (public trust) **Physical Requirements:** + Sedentary work, speaking, standing, talking, walking, working with computers, working with data, working with numbers and figures, ability to handle stress & work under pressure, ability to use MS Office and a PC, analytical or critical thinking skills, leadership and listening skills, multi-tasking, ability, negotiating skills, oral & written communication skills, presentation skills, project management ability and skills, computer operating skills, and team building skills ManTech International Corporation, as well as its subsidiaries proactively fulfills its role as an equal opportunity employer.
