Job Purpose

Senior Legal Counsel role is key role in ABC with responsibility for providing legal advice to various departments. You will be responsible for in-house legal matters including drafting agreements, addressing compliance issues, and participating in negotiation discussions. In order to succeed, this candidate should feel comfortable working with in-house and outside counsels on a variety of legal matters.

Duties: 

General Corporate Law Duties Providing legal support to the various departments of the organization specially to the following pillars: IP, Licenses and Corporate Governance. Assisting in the review and/or drafting of strategic agreements (including but not limited to machinery agreements, License agreements, Sale and Purchase of assets etc) Conducting research on relevant laws, regulations, and legal articles and presenting the same to the organization. Liaising with external counsel where required, specially on IP, Licenses and Corporate Governance Supporting in the COBC implementation, specially the legal aspects such as Privacy law. Maintain the (license to operate) record and ensure renewal of licenses and follow up on related stakeholders. Ensure implementation of the upgrade of license plan cascaded by the Deputy Legal Manager and the Legal Manager. Assisting in the preparation of, and conducting, internal trainings and presentations Support litigation management by liasing with outside counsel and following up on high risk cases such as commercial fraud and strategic IP lawsuits. IP Research, anticipate and protect Company against legal risks related to IP registration Create database for IP reports, and effectively presents information to senior management. Communicate with Marketing team to get approval on the renewal of TMs Manage registration of all ABC TMs and IPs and update Properties Survey Send applications and renewals of Trademarks, industrial designs to Heineken Global IP monthly Revise all labels , artwork , Outer case for all ABC plants to get final approval Follow up all Trademarks, industrial designs Cases with the outside agent Ensure that watch services are in place and properly cascaded. Corporate Governance   Lead the Legal Restructuring project from legal perspective by creating a timeplan for each phase. Support in the selection of the outside counsel and monitor its performance. Ensure that all relevant internal and external stakeholders are aligned and updated Drive guiding other departments to implement post-actions with the support of the Deputy Legal Manager Ensure that the group of companies are following correct corporate governance rules and have up to date files

Qualifications:

Education, Certifications and Licenses:

Law Bachelor Degree Masters degree is a plus

Knowledge and Experience:

3 to 5 years of experience in a law firm or legal function in FMCGs   Experience in Corporate Law, contracts and competition law
