We are looking for a Lead/Principal Transport Planner (Strategic Modelling) to join our team. This role will be based at our AtkinsRéalis

Your role

Highly self-motivated and ambitious.Adaptable to different cultures and work environments.Strong relationship-building skills with clients and colleagues.Familiarity with UK/ME regional modelling guidance and approaches.Experience with GIS, databases, and analytical/research tools.Understanding of the transport industry and policy context.Professional membership in a relevant institution.Experience in leading small teams and managing project delivery.Proven task management capabilities.

About you

Bachelor’s Degree with Master’s in Transport Planning/Transportation Engineering.8–15 years of experience in transport planning software: VISUM, CUBE, EMME, SATURN, DIADEM.Strong knowledge of Strategic Modelling techniques and guidance.Understanding of the technical transport planning environment.Strong analytical and numerical skills, especially in MS Excel.Programming experience in Python, Power BI, Excel-VBA, R.Ability to write high-quality technical reports.Capable of working both independently and within a team.Strong written communication skills.Ability to delegate tasks effectively.
