**About this role:**
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Strategy & Planning Consultant to join the Emerging Technology team payment domain (including Stablecoin, DLT, AI). This role involves identifying new emerging technologies and capabilities by working with internal stakeholders across the lines of business, and the technology organization. In this role you will determine alignment with Wells Fargo goals, develop strategies to increase reach and effectiveness, and build and maintain relationships with key partners including, but not limited to, current and emerging Venture Capital and Private Equity partners.
The senior lead will also be responsible for the expansion of our partnerships through the identification and implementation of new and innovative payment solutions. This role will focus on a deep understanding of external payments capabilities that could potentially enhance our infrastructure or client experience as well as staying abreast of emerging trends to support Wells Fargo’s innovation strategy.
The ideal candidate will have deep experience in payments (including Stablecoin, DLT and AI), a broad network of payment contacts, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of success in a similar role and capabilities.
**In this role, you will:**
+ Partner with executive management across Wells Fargo to support the business strategy, then create and execute corresponding business plans and initiatives to test emerging technology, including external market research
+ Act as an advisor to senior leadership, including the technology organization,by identifying and pursuingnew business opportunities and partnerships within payments
+ Influence highly complex business and technical needs across groups and functions within Wells Fargo and build relationships externally with VCs/Private Equity firms and Emerging tech companies
+ Provide principal level strategic consulting services tothe lines of business and technology organizationswith a key focus within the payments space
+ Support solutions that are long-term,large-scale, and require vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical and inductive thinking, and coordination of highly complex activities and guidance to others
+ Support the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges as well as business objectives for payments in partnership with the line of business and the technology organization
+ Identify and pursue new business opportunities and partnerships within the payment ecosystem internally and externally with VC ‘s, payments leaders and emerging technology founders
+ Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including emerging technology companies, partners, and industry leaders in the payments sector
+ Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities in payments
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior-level stakeholders to develop and execute business plans focused on payments
+ Monitor and report on the performance of payment-related initiatives
+ Represent the company at industry events and conferences as needed
**Required Qualifications:**
+ 7+ years of Strategy and Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
**Desired Qualifications:**
+ Ability to understand the firm's technical capabilities, seek out emerging payment technologies, and match them to the firm's needs
+ Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills are important
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
+ Ability to communicate with executives and industry experts
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team
+ Knowledge of payments, stablecoin, DLT, AI industry and market trends
**Job Expectations:**
+ This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship
+ This position is a hybrid work model. Must be willing to work out of the Menlo Park, San Francisco, or New York City office approximately 3 days a week
**Pay Range**
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$191,000.00 - $305,000.00
