Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendorsDevelops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by othersDesign, develop, and maintain electronic trading componentsApply low-level programming techniques to optimize trading software for low latencyCollaborate with business partners and team members to enhance Algo order offeringsSupport the execution platform and provide second line support for trading operationsContribute to the development and maintenance of global trading systems  

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experienceHands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stabilityAdvanced in one or more programming language(s) - Core Java, MultithreadingDeep understanding of algorithms, data structures, system design, threading implications, and strategies for optimizing performance-sensitive code.Apply knowledge of threading and performance optimization strategiesWork effectively in a collaborative, global team environmentPossess strong Linux or Unix skills and understanding of networking topologies, including TCP and UDPExhibit attention to detail and problem-solving abilitiesLearn quickly and apply new skills effectivelyExperience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field
