Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendorsDevelops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by othersDrives decisions that influence the product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processesServes as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focusActively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firm wide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life CycleInfluences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.Ability to guide and coach teams on approach to achieve goals aligned against a set of strategic initiativesExperience with hiring, developing, and recognizing talent.Expertise in Java, Spring Core, Spring Boot, and REST APIs.Proficiency in Object-Oriented Design (OOD) and Test-Driven Development (TTD), with hands-on experience in test automation frameworks like Junit, Mockito, and Cucumber.Knowledge of Domain Driven Design, micro services patterns, and modern architectures.Familiarity with log/metric collection and monitoring technologies like ELK stack, Prometheus, Grafana, AppDynamics, and Splunk.Exposure to NoSQL databases such as Cassandra.Experience with event-driven processing using Kafka.Hands-on experience with building CI/CD pipelines using Git, Maven, Jenkins, SonarQube, and Fortify.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Expertise in AWS is a plus.Familiarity in programming React Front-End technologies.Experience in Agentic AI solutions.
