As Senior Lead P&C Vendor Manager within Global Business Services (supporting People & Culture), you’ll drive excellence in PMI’s relationships, performance, contract, and issue management with our largest, strategic global Payroll suppliers. Your focus: continuously improve service quality, optimize spending, ensure contract compliance, and foster high-performing supplier partnerships. You’ll lead change projects to further enhance cost efficiency and quality, while also managing and empowering suppliers and junior team members to deliver on key administrative tasks.

 

 

 

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

 

 

· Proven experience managing accounts, projects, and a network of third-party suppliers and stakeholders.

· Exceptional organization and coordination skills—monitor service levels, track performance, and communicate insights with precision.

· Confident, proactive leadership—facilitate and lead conversations with stakeholders and suppliers, mediate difficult discussions, and turn challenges into actionable plans.

· Ability to build strong vendor relationships—partner for performance improvement and confidently address difficult conversations on cost, contract, and issue topics.

· Experience creating scopes of work and costing for products, services, outsourcing, consulting, or technology projects.

· Curiosity and working knowledge of Payroll and other People & Culture services and processes.

· Plan and execute coordinated actions, while delegating routine and administrative tasks to suppliers or junior team members and ensuring their quality.

· Proactive and collaborative — work with a global network to drive measurable efficiency and effectiveness, coaching and mentoring junior colleagues to develop their skills.

· Fluency in English.

· Advanced proficiency in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel) and PowerBI.

HOW CAN YOU MAKE HISTORY WITH US?

 

 

· Own operational performance for PMI’s preferred and strategic Payroll vendors worldwide. Be the key contact and relationship manager, connecting vendors, Global Process Owners, and Delivery teams.

· Proactively propose improvements—collaborate with Procurement and Payroll GPO teams to enhance vendors, costs and practices.

· Drive continuous improvement—set vendor standards, review KPIs/SLAs, and implement innovation and performance plans.

· Ensure KPI accuracy and timely reporting—manage escalations, set action plans, and define service levels, while overseeing the delegation of data gathering and reporting tasks to suppliers or junior team members.

· Mediate and resolve conflicts—analyze issues, enable project delivery, rebuild relationships, and, when necessary, manage supplier transitions and alternative plans.

· Communicate vendor strategy and performance—advise and support stakeholders globally on supplier contracts, ensuring junior team members and suppliers are aligned and informed.

· Administer vendor processes—while you’ll oversee and be accountable for vendor payee creation, payment updates, contract renewals, service level updates, and ad hoc issue resolution, these tasks may be performed by suppliers or junior team members under your direction and supervision. You’ll set clear expectations, monitor progress, and provide feedback to ensure accuracy and compliance.
