About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Lead Environmental Consultant to join our Environmental team within Real Estate Valuation Services (REVS). This role is pivotal in driving environmental risk management initiatives, supporting leadership, and ensuring quality and consistency across complex commercial real estate transactions. As a key leader, you will influence enterprise-wide decisions, mentor technical staff, and shape the environmental risk appetite and procedures for domestic and international lending.

Required Qualifications:
7+ years of construction or environmental engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, educationAmerican Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) qualifications in line with E1527 or E2018
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or higher Degree (Environmental/Engineering/Geology) with progressive experience and responsibilities in the fields of environmental risk management in banking, including development/management of staff and/or leading cross-functional team initiatives
Environmental Bankers Association (EBA), Environmental Risk Manager CertificateExtensive knowledge and experience of environmental risk management lending issues for complex domestic and international transactionsDemonstrated ability to review and evaluate highly complex environmental issues, including quantification of remedial costs and schedules, and determining scope of work for Phase II investigations to assess soil, soil vapor, groundwater, and vapor intrusion issuesExperience and expertise in supporting Commercial Mortgage-Backed Securities (CMBS), Low-Income Housing Tax Credit, and GSE-related (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, HUD) transactionsExperience with development and/or administration of QA/QC programs related to environmental risk management staff Excellent organizational skills, and verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with proven experience articulating issues, risks, and proposed solutions in actionable business terms to various levels of staff and managementAdvanced software skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook), CoPilot, and Collateral 360.Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skillsAbility to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are importantExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsAbility to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision in a structured environmentJob Expectations:
