Job Description

Performing a wide range of general laboratory support operations in the Biochemistry group; coordinating the receipt and inventory log entry of reagents and supplies; maintaining inventory logs for necessary reagents and supplies; performing daily equipment status monitoring; assisting in the routine maintenance of general laboratory equipment

Applies GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriateCoordinate the receipt and entry of reagents and supplies into the department inventory logMaintain inventory logs for necessary reagents and supplies and communicate those logs to the appropriate individualsAssist appropriate personnel in the location of and eventual removal of reagents and supplies from the active laboratory population when expired or exhaustedAssist in the routine maintenance of general laboratory equipment including biological safety cabinets, incubators, refrigerators, waterbaths, centrifuges, and platewashersAssist in the proper disposal of laboratory generated wasteAbility to access and use computer programming including PC softwarePerforms other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Basic Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent requiredReasoning skills, including logical thinking and deductive reasoning  Accuracy in transcribing informationKnowledge of quality control and safety procedures preferredAbility to work well with others and as part of a teamAuthorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Additional Information

Position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8am - 4 pm., with additional hours, as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Lancaster, Pennsylvania are encouraged to apply.
