**Job Summary**
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Level 4 Kubernetes Administrator to join our Shared Services team. In this role, you will be responsible for architecting, managing, and optimizing Kubernetes clusters across multiple environments. You will serve as the go-to expert for Kubernetes, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security of containerized workloads, and mentoring junior engineers in best practices.
**Job Requirements**
Key Responsibilities
+ Design, deploy, and maintain production-grade Kubernetes clusters across cloud and on-prem environments
+ Implement best practices for CI/CD, monitoring, logging, security, and cluster governance.
+ Experience with enterprise Kubernetes cluster management solutions, such as OpenShift or Rancher
+ Troubleshoot complex issues at the cluster and workload level (e.g., networking, storage, scheduling, and resource constraints).
+ Collaborate with development and security teams to define and enforce standards and policies for Kubernetes usage.
+ Perform audits and health checks of clusters and workloads, and lead remediation efforts.
+ Contribute to high-level architecture decisions involving container orchestration, service mesh (e.g., Istio/Linkerd), and workload resiliency.
+ Lead incident response efforts related to Kubernetes-based workloads and services.
+ Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior and mid-level team members.
Required Qualifications
+ 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Systems Engineering. This time should include 3+ years of hands-on experience managing Kubernetes in production environments
+ Deep knowledge of Kubernetes architecture, internals, and operational patterns.
+ Experience with service meshes, ingress controllers, persistent volumes, and network policies.
+ Proficiency with Helm, kubectl, and related tools.
+ Experience with observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, Fluentd, etc.).
+ Solid understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, containerd).
Preferred Qualifications
+ Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) and/or Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS).
+ Experience with multi-tenant Kubernetes clusters or federated setups.
+ Background in cloud-native application architecture or platform engineering.
+ Exposure to zero-trust networking and advanced security architectures in Kubernetes.

+ Proven ability to lead by influence and mentor others.
+ Comfortable operating in fast-paced, complex technical environments.
**Education**
Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent work experience
Compensation:
The target salary range for this position is 141,100 - 210,100 USD. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off (PTO), various Leave options, Performance-Based Incentives, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU’s), with all offerings subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies.
