As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Asset & Wealth Management Marketing Team, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.

Job responsibilities:

Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problemsLead a team of high-potential software engineers, delivering high quality software that achieves functional objectivesDevelops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by othersIdentifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systemsLeads evaluation sessions with business stakeholders, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architectureLeads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologiesAdds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and continuous improvement.Implement data governance and best practices to ensure data quality and compliance with organizational standards.

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experienceProficient in development skill Java 21 and Python building into AWS Public Cloud and CD/CD strategies with over 10 + years experience is an absolute mustHands on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stabilityProficiency in automation and continuous delivery methodsExperience in Spring Boot, Kafka, Kubernetes, Splunk, DynatraceDemonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systemsPractical cloud native experienceExposure to building AI/ML driven applications to drive business goals. Track record of Continuous learning mindset

Proficiency in Agile and SRE cultureWorking knowledge of one or more NoSQL database technologies, preferably Apache CassandraWorking knowledge of one or more Messaging technologies, preferably Apache KafkaDevelop RESTful APIs and ensure smooth integration across internal and external services.Experience with a public cloud (AWS preferred)
