Develop, test, and maintain Java-based applications and systems to support our cybersecurity products.
Collaborate with senior developers, architects, and security engineers to design, implement, and optimize software solutions.
Work on both new development and feature enhancements, ensuring code quality, performance, and security.
Participate in code reviews, providing feedback and suggestions for improvements while adhering to team coding standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to application performance, security vulnerabilities, and bugs.
Contribute to system architecture discussions, bringing ideas for scalable, reliable, and secure solutions.
Work closely with cross-functional teams (QA, DevOps, product management) to ensure the timely delivery of features and products.
Stay current with industry trends and best practices in software development and cybersecurity.
Help mentor junior developers and assist in the onboarding process for new team members.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
7 - 9 years of experience in Java development, with a solid understanding of object-oriented design and software development principles.
Strong experience with backend development, including Java frameworks (e.g., Spring, Hibernate) and RESTful API design.
Proficiency in working with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and SQL.
Experience with version control tools such as Git, and familiarity with build tools (e.g., Maven, Gradle).
Understanding of software testing methodologies (unit testing, integration testing) and tools.
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize code effectively.
Experience with Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and working in cross-functional teams.
Knowledge of security best practices and an understanding of common vulnerabilities (e.g., SQL injection, XSS).
Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Nice to Have:
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with JavaScript, front-end frameworks, or full-stack development.
Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, such as encryption, secure coding, and vulnerability testing.
Experience with automated testing tools (e.g., JUnit, Selenium) and performance monitoring.
