**A Day in the Life**
The Technical Analyst reporting to Plan Owner, develops overall technical vision and defines the technical strategy for specific applications. They also support software developers working on enhancing/ building the application as they are accountable for comprehensively understanding the design and functionality of their respective applications. The majority of time is spent working on an application or a subset of a platform – from idea to detailed design and testing and rollout - while adhering to policies, using specialized knowledge and skills normally acquired through work experience and advanced education.
**Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.**
+ Write technical specifications for Integration, Enhancements and Reports.
+ Need to manage internal and external resources on assigned projects.
+ Manage internal and third-party development efforts around core functionality customization, integration and reporting.
+ Create project plans and oversee execution of ERP support projects.
+ Remain current on developments in key technologies and changes in requirements to ensure that the highest performing and most stable environments are recommended.
+ Write technical specifications and requirements for integrations, enhancements and reports (RICEF) in accordance with internal architectural guidelines.
+ Manage ERP vendors and stay apprised of their plans for upgrading, enhancing and supporting our software and environments (if cloud).
+ Plan, define, and create high-level design blueprints for specific applications in line with business goals, to actively lead the technical vision to success.
+ Provide detailed specifications and conceptual designs for application build/ enhancements to the development team, to drive clarity in communication of intended purpose and blueprint of the solution.
+ Understand software, hardware, and user interactions, for the required application based on functional and technical requirements, to identify technical architectural impacts and provide potential trade-offs.
+ Work with Solution Architects to ensure all systems integrate into the technology stack of the application.
+ Set and monitor application- specific architectural standards as part of the application roadmap development to ensure scalability and integrity of the solution & compliance with architectural requirements.
+ Supervise the design, testing, and modification stages of the application to ensure that application design meets all technical requirements.
+ Analyze and advise on the availability, responsiveness, reliability, and resilience of critical elements in application architecture during application release and implementation.
**Required Knowledge and Experience:**
+ 7+ years of IT experience with a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, MCA, or MSc.
+ 5+ years of hands-on experience implementing and architecting global enterprise Demand and Supply Planning applications such as JDA/Blue Yonder, SAP APO, SAP PPDS, SAP SNP, to enable related business processes.
+ Hands-on experience in SQL and PL/SQL.
+ Preferred technical experience with BY DMS or BY Connect.
+ Preferred technical experience with Control M batch scheduler.
+ In-depth knowledge of BY’s demand planning, ESP and Inventory optimization data model.
+ In-depth knowledge of BY’s demand planning, ESP and Inventory optimization tables.
+ Experience in technical implementing or supporting BY APS or JDA or Manugistic’s demand or ESP scripts and batches.
+ Debugging skills on debugging batch issues.
+ Subject Matter experience in Distribution Requirements Planning.
+ Subject matter experience in Demand and Supply Planning.
+ Subject Matter expertise in Blue Yonder/SAP APO/related architecture and technologies.
+ Comfortable communicating solutions to customers across a wide variety of skill-sets.
+ Able to work autonomously and collaboratively as appropriate.
+ Tenacious with a passion for learning new and unfamiliar concepts.
+ Working experience of SQL is highly preferred.
+ Supply Chain certification (APICS, etc.,) is preferred.
+ Project Management certification (PMP) is preferred.
