You’ll lead with purpose, breaking down barriers to innovation in a more connected, compassionate world. **A Day in the Life** Senior IT Technologist, EDC for the Global IT Function of Medtronic Engineering and Innovation Center Global IT Team. The individual will operate in all phases and contribute to all activities of the Oracle Clinical Platform. Candidates must be willing to work in a fast paced, multi-tasking, team environment. The Technologist frequently interacts with Tech Lead, other developers, testers, internal partners and stakeholders concerning estimations, design, implementation or requirement clarifications, works closely with global sites. **Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.** + Work with Functional Analysts and Business Stakeholders (if needed) to create clearly understand functional requirements and specifications + Document measurable technical requirements, system performance expectations, development standards, and security needs - to clearly measure progress + Collaborate with the Architects to analyze and document the impact of proposed technology to the existing enterprise technology architecture to drive compliance with architectural requirements and standards, and communicate any potential risks to the management + Identify end-to-end processes and operations likely to be impacted due to the technical build of the solution, document and communicate impacts to the relevant solution and process owners to plan for process changes + Communicate key technical issues anticipated in solution design to Functional Analyst and business stakeholders and revise functional requirements/ use cases/ business case as needed + Analyze functional requirements, and translate them into technical requirements/ scenarios (including process flows, data flows, migration and system integration, interface testing, and technical data requirements) and communicate functional requirements to the Solution Developers + Provide detailed technical inputs to Application Developers and collaborate with the appropriate teams during different stages of solution delivery as needed (Design, build & configure, integration, testing, etc.) to support the build of a solution meets all technical requirements + Perform research and development in identified areas/project. + Design, Develop and test software product as per guidelines and demonstrate ownership + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop solutions for technical challenges. + Learn and understand software standards for medical devices, ex. IEC62304. + Participate in brainstorming sessions, team meetings, and presentations. + Prepare detailed technical reports, documentation, and presentations of findings. + Stay updated with the latest Technologies like Cloud, Data Science, Automation + Come up with new ideas to improve the product or process. + Prepare and obtain approval of system and programming documentation. + Recommend changes in development, maintenance, and system standards. + Train users in system enhancements and modifications. + Correct program errors, prepare operating instructions, compile documentation for program support. + Works closely with functional users to enhance and maintain programs. **Required Knowledge and Experience:** + 7+ years of experience supporting Oracle Clinical with Bachelors in Engineering or Technology + Proficiency with one or more of the following programming languages: C, C++, Java, Python, .Net, Java, Python, Java Script, React JS , Devops, Cloud AWS/Azure, Full Stack developer, Mobile Native development , Mobile device Management, MS SQL Server, Oracle, Full stack developer, + Identity and Access Management (IAM): A solid understanding of IAM concepts and practices is vital. This includes managing identities, roles, permissions, and policies across an organization.  + Cloud Computing: Familiarity with AWS Cloud, Kubernetes, Containers, DevOps  + Programming and Scripting: Proficiency in relevant programming and scripting languages (like Java, JEE, PowerShell, Bash, JavaScript) is needed to build, customize, and troubleshoot SSO solutions.  + Security Best Practices: Knowledge of security best practices, including secure coding practices, threat modeling, and vulnerability mitigation, is crucial for building secure SSO applications.  + API Security: Understanding how to secure APIs that are part of the SSO flow is important for preventing unauthorized access.  + Strong Problem solving: Independently solves medium to complex problems + Strong Communication skills + Knowledge of software engineering and development process + Good Knowledge on the Database concepts using SQL + Good Knowledge on Data structures + Knowledge on web development technologies like HTML frameworks, Javascript, Angular and ReactJS + Knowledge on MS Office and Advanced excel skills with macro building and analytics + Knowledge on Agile standards (Waterfall, SCRUM, Kanban, SAFe) + Knowledge on modeling tools like MS VISIO, MIRO + Functional Skills: Ability to analyze data and trends in order to develop recommendations to solve business problems. + Additional Skills: Problem Solving, Detail Oriented, Cross-Functional Collaboration, Customer Service, Process Improvement, Communication. + Technology: Understanding of systems, software and technological concepts, Familiarity with data analysis tools and data modeling methodologies. **Physical Job Requirements** The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this position, but they are not an exhaustive list of all the required responsibilities and skills of this position.  **Benefits & Compensation** **Medtronic offers a competitive Salary and flexible Benefits Package** A commitment to our employees lives at the core of our values.
