Senior IT Tax Product Owner
Eaton Corporation is currently seeking a Sr IT Tax Product Owner in their Corporate IT organization. This person will report to our VP IT. This position can be based in any of Eaton’s IT hubs; such as Beachwood OH, Galesburg MI, Houston TX, Moon Township PA, Raleigh NC or Waukesha WI. This role can also be a remote position. **Position Overview:** As a leader within Eaton's IT function, the Sr IT Tax Product Owner will have direct management responsibility, developing and directing multiple Product Teams, including analysts, engineers, or Product Owners to deliver business outcomes. This person will work closely with the tax function to deliver on the overall strategy for the tax set of capabilities. This person will act as business process owners and business analysts to help execute on the overall vision for the strategy in partnership with Tax IT Product Owner and Tax IT product offering. The Senior IT Tax Product Owner is responsible for maximizing the value of multiple Tax IT offerings by creating, prioritizing, and managing the Tax product backlog. This person will also work closely with business partners and customers to define epics that align with key business objectives for the Scrum or Kanban team. **Essential Functions:** • Own the product backlog, managing and prioritizing user stories, decomposing epics into features, and continuous improvement work. • Set and champion the product vision, work with key senior leaders to influence strategic business objectives, develop and maintain the product roadmap, and define key operational processes. • Plan, manage, and track product funding and the team's time. Is fully responsible for product budget and profit plan. • Manage a team of IT professionals and, provide appropriate coaching to develop employee skills and continuously improve performance. • Work closely with business stakeholders and customers, understanding their priorities and defining business outcomes and KPIs for the products. • Accountable for product support, stability, and governance: including data, policy, cybersecurity, and usage. • Act as a functional expert in areas related to the product, including across Eaton's portfolio and with other business units. • Drive definition and continuous improvement of product processes, such as Lean, Agile, Scrum and DevSecOps • Support a Secure Product Development Lifecycle approach that establishes a strong cybersecurity focus and culture across the entire engineering lifecycle. • Manage contracts with software and service vendors to support the product strategy. Manage vendor strategy and relationship. • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and financial reporting standards. • Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure that the product meets all regulatory requirements and stays updated with changes in tax laws and regulations. • Develop and implement strategies for tax-efficient processes and systems, ensuring alignment with the company's overall financial strategy. • Oversee the integration of tax and compliance requirements into the product development lifecycle, ensuring that all features and updates comply with relevant regulations. • Lead initiatives to automate tax reporting and compliance processes, leveraging advanced technologies such as AI and machine learning. **Required Qualifications:** • Minimum of 10 years of experience as an analyst, BRM, project manager, engineer or program lead on highly complex technology projects and programs • Minimum 7 years of experience as a Product Owner or similar position • Tax technology experience and background. • Manager of people experience. • Experience with implementing tax or financial solutions. • Legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship. **Eaton Leadership Attributes:** • Growth mindset: Demonstrates entrepreneurship, business and financial savvy aligned to the customer. • Influences, empowers, and fosters the execution of key priorities. • Demonstrates decision effectiveness: Leverages critical thinking skills and data to create new insights and improve decision speed and quality. • Followership: Attracts, develops, retains, and promotes talent while creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
