Position Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior IT Support Technician to serve as the unique IT point of contact in our new warehouse facility in Amsterdam.
This role will be vital in providing comprehensive first and second-level support exclusively to our local employees and over 3,000 remote EMEA employees, coordinating closely with other EMEA IT Helpdesk representatives as well as our network and system teams based primarily in France.
The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of IT experience and a proactive approach to troubleshooting and problem resolution.
Key responsibilities
Provide L1 and L2 support via ticketing for hardware, software, and network issues for local and remote employees.Deploy systems following internal processes (MDT)
Offer in-person IT support for laptops, printers, and related devices.
Participate in call center activities as needed, focusing on direct support.
Manage system upgrades and maintenance, ensuring effective patch management.
Support server tools (WMS, Nice Label, Silver Label, Qlik, Oracle Printer, and internal apps).
Collaborate with different regional IT teams to resolve cross-regional issues.
Coordinate with network and system teams for complex technical support.
Deliver hands-on support for urgent issues requiring on-site assistance, including occasional travel to Utrecht (could be required outside standard business hours on rare occasions)
Document processes and create training materials for the internal Knowledge Base.
Assist with hardware failures, account issues, network connectivity, and software inquiries.
Communicate internally and with employees via Teams/Email in English.
Report metrics and feedback to management for accountability.
Qualifications
Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT support roles, demonstrating advanced technical skills and a thorough understanding of support processes.
Solid knowledge of networking principles, enabling effective troubleshooting and system upgrades.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Windows OS (Win10/11), Microsoft Office 365, Active Directory management, and a familiarity with both MacOS/Linux and general IT hardware.
Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to work independently while fostering a collaborative team environment.
Fluent in English, both spoken and written, with excellent communication skills.
