The Role

The Senior IT Service (Security) Manager / IT Service (Security) Manager is responsible for managing security of the moderately complex SAP ERP services (R3/S4) that are essential to business/enterprise operations. This role focuses on maintaining and improving security posture over the SAP services, ensuring proper IT controls (required by SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act)) execution and conformance with PMI IT policies and standards, ensuring alignment of vendors towards adherence of SLAs. In summary, this role safeguards our SAP services and supports compliance and vendor management.

 

Key Responsibilities

- Act as the primary point of day-day escalation for security incidents as well as controls execution within SAP services, ensuring quick and efficient resolution to minimize business impact.

- Lead process adherence for SAP security incident, problem, and change management, focusing on driving improvements – it is also applicable for SAP controls adherence.

- Provide mentorship/guidance to support teams on proper incident/problem resolution.

- Lead the design and implementation for continuous improvement initiatives within domain of security and controls, ensuring efficient implementation (on time and budget)

- Conduct root cause analysis for SAP Security and/or SAP Controls services disruptions and ensure preventive measures are implemented.

- Oversee relationships with vendors within areas of SAP Security and SAP Controls, ensuring service delivery meets contractual obligations and quality standards.

- Maintain detailed service documentation within area of SAP Security, including incident reports, service requests, and change logs.

- Generate detailed reports on service performance within area of SAP Security, highlighting key metrics and areas for improvement

- Develop detailed, data-driven reports for executive level stakeholders.

- Ensure compliance with global IT policies, regulations, and security standards for all services under management, in strong collaboration with platform security team

- Provide leadership in audit and regulatory compliance efforts within areas of SAP Security and SAP Controls, coordinating across teams to ensure full adherence.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.

- ITIL certification preferred

- Security/controls related certification preferred (e.g.: CISA, CISM, CRISC).

- Strong knowledge of IT Security/controls (10 years of experience in IT, including min. 5 years in service management and/or IT Security).

- Knowledge of SAP ERP system, especially within SAP Security/BASIS/Technical.

- Knowledge with ITSM frameworks and experience with ITSM tools and managing incidents, service requests, and changes.

- Excellent problem-solving and process improvement skills, with the ability to manage escalated incidents.

- Effective communication and coordination skills, especially when dealing with vendors and senior management.
