Sr. IT Project Manager
SUMMARY
Mortenson is currently seeking a Sr. IT Project Manager that will provide Responsible for the management of complex company strategic initiatives to achieve company goals.
Responsible to lead and manage the implementation phases of one or more highly complex IT projects impacting several business functions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform end to end project management of medium to large initiatives, including;Partnering with business leadershipManaging project delivery across internal ITPartnering with third party vendors and service providersHandle all aspects of assigned initiatives; including scope, schedule, budget, risks, and issuesEstablish metrics to proactively identify areas of risk and planning for mitigationManage projects across internal ITS teams, business services groups, field operating groups, and third party software partnersEngage with cross-functional business teams to ensure access to subject matter experts (SME’s)Engage with executive sponsors and key stakeholders to report on program status, scope, schedule, and budgetProvide subject matter expertise in areas including project management, scope definition, risk identification, mitigation, and project financial managementEffectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levelsLead team members by example, offer effective coaching and feedback, and effectively manage performanceShown track record and experience in successfully executing large, complex IT projects in a dynamic environmentAbility to successfully build team relationships and partnerships across business and IT stakeholdersAbility to balance conflicting priorities in high-pressure, high-stress situationsAbility to think strategically, with strong project, issue, and financial management skillsAbility to interface and communicate effectively with all levels across organizational and operational linesExcellent analytical skills, the ability to manage multiple projects under strict timelinesAbility to work well in a demanding, dynamic environment to meet overall objectivesAbility to lead and motivate cross-functional, interdisciplinary teams to achieve tactical and strategic goalsSeek the “voice of the customer” and develops mechanisms to proactively measure success criteriaStrong understanding of confidentialityHigh degree of initiative, dependability, and ability to work with little supervisionPossess excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and collaborative skills and active listening skillsGeneral understanding of Business Architecture concepts (capability mapping, blueprinting, etc.) is preferredQUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or other related field or equivalent work experienceMinimum of 10 years of IT and business/industry work experience and at least five years in managing large IT, operational and/or business transformation programsPrevious experience using project management methodologies, including but not limited to; Agile, Standard SDLC and/or WaterfallPossesses in-depth understanding of key services, processes, and methodologies applicable to project managementDemonstrated ability to manage stakeholder relationships from executive sponsors to end usersDemonstrated experience with both ‘build’ and ‘buy’ methods for project delivery (software as a service/SaaS, mobile apps, custom solutions and large ERP systems)Experience leading cross-functional business and IT teams through the project delivery lifecycleExperience with implementing appropriate financial controls within programs and projectsExperience with service readiness and project implementation planningExperience with ITIL and Service Level Management concepts preferredExperience with business process improvement and/or LEAN methods preferredA few benefits offered include:

(Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%).
Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.
