The Opportunity:
The Department of Defense (DoD) Chief Information Office (CIO) is searching for a Policy Analyst with experience dealing with Senior Government Officials within DoD CIO, Joint Staff, Military Services, Combatant Commands, and DISA. The Candidate may have a background in policy development, project management, integration of current and future network technologies to provide unified communication on DoD networks, and the monitoring of enforcement of policy. The candidate may be responsible for analyzing laws, regulations, and policies governing the client's organization, enterprise processes, and practices. They will support governance processes to help clients develop policy recommendations, draft new or modified policies, coordinate actions across components, facilitate related high-level meetings and presentations, and make better informed decisions. Duties may also include conducting qualitative and quantitative analyses and producing associated briefing materials.

Responsibilities:
The policy analyst will apply the above policy related skills to areas including Internet Protocol Version Six (IPv6), including related support for development and coordination of policies and plans to implement IPv6 services within the DoDIN and Internet base capabilities (e.g., cloud services, web services, mobile apps, etc.). The Policy Analyst will identify the appropriate governance bodies and working groups to shape the future of DoDIN Modernization and work with the team that manages the Network Leadership Board. The candidate may act as, or support, the secretariate for high-level recurring meetings, and have significant engagement with senior DoD stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be able to effectively manage working groups, provide high-level stakeholder support, and utilize various Microsoft applications to enhance team productivity and communication. They will have experience with policy development, drafting, and staffing coordination with stakeholders, drafting and publishing DoD Instructions, informational and decision briefings, and talking points. Strong writing, presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills are needed.

Qualifications:
Required: 

U.S. Citizenship is required. Must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.Must have a Secret security clearance, at a minimum.Must have Master’s Degree in related field.Must have at least 12 years of general experience, preference is for supporting the U.S. Department of Defense, Defense Information System Agency, or Combatant Commands in related work.Must be a self-starter, assertive, great policy development skills, and communication skills, team player.  Ability to work with SMEs to turn content they provide into more polished content.Experience annotating working documents to maintain a trail of changes and indicate what’s been resolved and what is still being worked.Comfort participating in working groups for SME related topics and conveying meeting content effectively back to government client.  Demonstrated ability to organize and create working groups that meet client requirements while benefiting member organizations.  Experience in evaluating working group processes to ensure alignment with client requirements.Adaptability and problem-solving skills in a dynamic environment. Proficiency in IT systems and willingness to learn new technologies as needed.Experience supporting governance boards and/or working groups effectively.Knowledge with Office 365, Cybersecurity Zero Trust Approach, and some awareness of challenges surrounding DoD365 records management and how DoD is handling similar challenges.Prefer knowledge with DEOS, IPv6, RMF, and/or Cloud Computing.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$94,400 - $198,200
