The Senior Inventory Specialist maintains inventory spares for the repair and maintenance of processing and utility equipment used at the facility. This role maintains inventory stocking levels to support plant changeover processes, documents issuance and receipt of materials within the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to support client charges and remains up to date on industry practices for inventory control.

Responsibilities:
Issues and receives inventory items from CMMS and documents any changesSets up new inventory items within CMMSAnalyzes inventory levels and makes recommendations to ensure adequate availability of parts to meet manufacturing demandsSubmits parts orders to replenish inventoryAssists Finance by conducting audits and inspections of inventory and invoice resolutionGenerates reports from CMMS to support inventory managementPerforms receipt inspection and verification, part number resolution, and stocking of maintenance partsSupports implementation of processes and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness to support cost saving initiatives for spare parts managementSupports facility coordination with planning of maintenance activities and changeoversMaintains accurate records of inventory levels, total inventory counts, transactions, and costs using an inventory management software while supporting Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), as requiredSupports maintenance activities for equipment troubleshooting and repair and the failure mode analysis (FEMA) processCreates, receives, and closes blanket purchase orders, per facility department requirementsSupports site operations during off hours, as neededPerforms other duties, as assigned.
Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED with 2-4 years of warehouse, inventory management, supply chain, or related experienceExperience with Microsoft Office or other computer softwareExperience utilizing CMMSEffective communication, both written and verbalAbility to work in a teamwork environmentFamiliarity with Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Exceptional customer service skillsAbility to adapt to new processes, technologies, inventory changes, and demands
Preferred Education Requirements:
Associate degree in logistics, supply chain management or related field or technical certification
Physical Demands:
May work in Mechanical/Production spaces that may require hearing protection and enrollment in a hearing conservation program.Will work in environment operating a motor vehicle or Powered Industrial Truck.Ability to discern audible cues.Ability to inspect or perform a task with 20/20 corrected vision, visual acuity, including distinguishing color.
Working Environment:
