Senior Interior Designer
**Job Description** The Senior Interior Designer for Workplace Transformation is an individual contributor role that reports directly to the Workplace Transformation Manager. The role will require partnerships with many Facilities stakeholder teams and site customers to support Large internal Capital and Expense Projects across multiple site portfolios, from design to occupancy. The Senior Interior Designer will collaborate with other project partners internal to BAE such as in-house Architect, Technical Review Board, and/or Site-specific Project Managers. As a Senior Interior Designer, you will require thorough understanding of the pre-planning, programming, and Design-Build process. You will be responsible for combining creativity with technical skills, while providing efficient designs and furniture solutions that meet BAE cultural growth and will help drive transformation and modernization in our workplace. As part of the Workplace Transformation team, you will require a vested interest in cultural revitalization and long-term improvement of BAE s physical workplace through design, modernization, and furniture. The Senior Interior Designer will collaborate daily with the Design Lead and Furniture team. Candidate will be responsible for all interior design aspects associated with renovation build-outs and will work directly with our partnered Furniture vendors regarding Design, installation, and estimating for large projects. Candidate should have strong organizational and project management skills. Candidate will require strong understanding of furniture systems and how they relate to workplace trends and industry standards. Candidate should be skilled in CET Designer, AutoCAD, and/or other advanced visualization tools for conceptual design reviews. This person will be responsible for communicating and coordinating with customers and other stakeholders and will work closely with a variety of different Functions and personnel, including Site Planning, Project Management, Plant Engineering, SHE, IT, and Drafting, to ensure strong business continuity and internal alignment. Candidate should have a strong ability to develop and maintain positive and collaborative relationships. This person must have a flexible mind-set, is open to and solicit feedback, and is able to identify continuous improvements as it relates to the furniture and overall workplace optimization. Primary duties and responsibilities include: + Hybrid 50 % onsite in New Hampshire + Develop and execute holistic furniture Designs for multi-site portfolios + Collaborates directly with Furniture partners and maintain strong relationship with all reps + Build and sustain strong customer relationships and act as the primary design interface associated with Large Expense refreshes & Capital projects including Furniture, Architectural walls, and other interior elements + Works closely with other project partners such as in-house Architect, TRB, and Project Managers to deliver and execute successful design results for office modernization + Responsible for programming, conceptual design, and overall design development discussions with customers and other stakeholders + Develop Design Concepts & 3D models utilizing AutoCAD/REVIT, CET Designer, and/or other modeling software s to provide real time visuals for customer review + Generate detailed furniture & finish packages for approved projects, along with corresponding specifications and interior finish schedules. + Develop project presentation boards and finish schedules for projects as appropriate. + Develop and Maintain standards & finish materials Library and all associated catalogs + Collaborate with Lead Designer, standards organizer, and Day2Day furniture team for operation consistency, continuous improvement, and long-term standards development **Required Education, Experience, & Skills** + Bachelor s Degree of Science in Interior Design required + 10 years experience in Interior Design and/or Corporate Furniture industry + Experienced in AutoCAD/REVIT, CET Designer, and/or other applicable modeling software(s) + Proficient in Adobe InDesign and/or Photoshop + Proficient knowledge of ADA, life safety/egress and building codes **Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills** + Familiar with furniture systems and major manufacturers (preferred) + Experience with template creation for design and standards catalog development + Experienced in AutoCAD/REVIT, CET Designer, and/or other applicable modeling software(s) + Strong understanding of workplace and industry standards (preferred) + Space Planning skills and programing experience (preferred) + Has Strong Graphics and Visualization skills + Knowledge of furniture, finishes, material selections, and specification constraints + Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal. + Ability to create high-quality deliverables and technical drawings **Pay Information** Full-Time Salary Range: $97008 - $164914 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
