We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Inspection Engineer to lead and execute both onshore and offshore inspection activities. This role is critical in ensuring technical integrity, data quality, and compliance with project and safety standards across all phases of subsea inspection operations.
This is a permanent onshore position, based in Perth, with offshore assignments required during project execution phases.
Key Responsibilities1. Technical Leadership & Project Support
Provide technical input for tenders and develop project-specific procedures. Ensure alignment with standard processes and contractual deliverables. Lead inspection planning and offshore preparation activities. Resolve personnel, equipment, and logistical challenges in coordination with project stakeholders.2. Inspection Execution & Data Management
Oversee inspection system readiness and vessel mobilisation. Ensure accurate and representative findings are recorded during inspection activities. Maintain high standards of data capture, quality control, and secure archiving. Review inspection data to ensure compliance with QA/QC and project requirements.3. Reporting & Communication
Prepare daily field reports, calibration logs, and close-out documentation. Liaise with clients and internal teams, providing technical updates and advice. Conduct briefings and toolbox talks to ensure clarity of scope and safety awareness.4. Continuous Improvement & Compliance
Contribute to lessons learned and process improvement initiatives. Ensure adherence to internal and client procedures, including HSE standards. Support team structuring and contractor qualification reviews.5. HSE & Operational Integrity
Promote a strong safety culture through active participation in toolbox talks and hazard reporting. Ensure emergency preparedness and compliance with safety frameworks.6. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
Work closely with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure project success. Support training and competency development in line with company standards. Mentor junior inspection team members and foster a collaborative working environment. Qualifications & ExperienceEssential:
Tertiary qualification in engineering or a science-related discipline. Valid CSWIP 3.4U Subsea Inspection Controller Certification.Desirable:
Additional NDT certifications. Minimum 5 years’ experience in subsea inspection engineering, including diver and ROV scopes. Strong understanding of NDT methodologies and ROV/diver intervention systems. Proficiency with industry-standard Asset Integrity Management software. Experience in configuring and maintaining Integrity Management systems databases.
