The Role
As an infrastructure engineer who works as part of a talented and close-knit team located in Rowville, you will be required to manage, maintain, and support an enterprise environment in ensuring the availability of the services to the GPC Asia Pacific support offices, warehouse and network of stores over 500+ locations in Australia, New Zealand and China.
This is a hands-on position that requires a self-motivated individual who can work independently and consistently uphold the values of Genuine Parts Company (GPC). The successful candidate will demonstrate initiative and accountability in their day-to-day work.
As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you will be an integral member of a skilled and close-knit team based in Rowville. Your responsibilities will include managing, maintaining, and supporting an enterprise environment to ensure continuous availability of services for GPC’s Asia Pacific support offices, warehouses, and an extensive network of over 600 stores across Australia, New Zealand, and Asia.
The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for information technology and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. Additionally, they must be capable of working across multiple technology domains to effectively support operations, contribute to project success, and meet agreed Service Level Agreements.

Manage and proactively maintain systems and services managed by Infrastructure support team.Help produce appropriate infrastructure designs and technical specifications in line with defined processes to support the development of new and improved system.Coordinated execution of projects task with support of Technical Leads and Project Managers.Providing technical expertise for core infrastructure listed in role requirementsManage and proactively maintain all responsible systemHelp produce appropriate infrastructure designs and technical specifications in line with defined processes to support the development of new and improved systemCoordinated execution of projects task with support of Technical Leads and Project ManagersConduct training & mentoring programs to junior team members along with ensuring documentation is accurate and well maintainedDeliver weekly system reports to Infrastructure managerAdhering to Infrastructure policies and processes (e.g. Change Management) as well as identifying potential risks within the IT environment and reporting accordingly Conducting training & mentoring of junior team members along with ensuring documentation is accurate and well maintainedFollowing ITIL based ITSM practices and ensuring all incidents, problems and service requests are managed to agreed service levelsSupporting the organisation in accordance with GPC Asia Pacific’s procedures and policiesLiaise with internal staff to ensure a high satisfaction of services are metCreating and maintain corporate knowledge base articlesRostered on call program for supporting BAU & Project activitiesAbout You
3+ years supporting Cloud Infrastructure Solutions, Integrations & Migrations ie. Azure, GCP, AWS etc.5+ years’ experience working with Microsoft enterprise environment supporting core systems eg. M365, Azure AD, SCCM/InTune, Active Directory, AVD, Windows Server 2016-2022 OS5 + years’ experience supporting a virtualisation environment eg. VMware5+ years’ experience supporting enterprise Patching & Security Systems5+ years’ experience configuring and maintaining backup and SAN storage solutionsCoordinate and prioritise Infrastructure activities and support requestsProficient in time & priority managementInvestigative skills to identify and solve potentially complex problemsTranslate technical issues into understandable business language for end-usersCore Competencies
