In conjunction with other members of the Solution Design team, the purpose of this position is to work with key Business, Technology and to deliver infrastructure design and implementation for Technology Operations (TO) projects. These Mainframe and Infrastructure designs include platform selection and sizing, data management design, disaster recovery solutions, high availability design, migration approach and other Infrastructure requirements. During project implementations, the Solutions Architect will work alongside the Platform Manager to support design issues. This will include assisting in the integration of distinct products to form the infrastructure on which an application will be installed. To be successful, the Solutions Architect will serve as a facilitation point for escalations on major technical issues. Additionally, review and creation of proposals in support of business requirements as well as providing infrastructure cost and design estimates and consultation as it relates to systems integration. _At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. Details on your work arrangement (proportion of on-site and remote work) will be discussed at the time of your interview._ **How You’ll Succeed** + **Infrastructure Design:** You’ll provide the infrastructure design viewpoint in relation to the Enterprise in selecting technologies to facilitate service integration activities. You’ll design solutions that include platform selection, sizing and costing, data management design, disaster recovery, high availability design, migration approach and other infrastructure requirements. You’ll analyze processes, projects and technical risk, and estimate project work effort where new technology is involved and where no guidelines may already exist. + **Design & Develop:** You’ll build a solution design that reflects the integration of business logic, processes, and data mapped to defined business requirements. You will help guide the Solution Delivery Team in the implementation of the infrastructure solution design and in conjunction with other Solution Design team members, you’ll work with key business and Technology partners to deliver infrastructure design and implementation for Technology Operations (TO) + **Leadership:** Provide technical leadership during the design, build, configuration, implementation and maintenance phases.
