Infrastructure & Cloud Services are at the forefront of everything from Cloud to Networking, Data Centres to virtual servers/servers (Windows and Linux) as well as desktops, Licensing and mobile phones! Every piece of infrastructure at Head office, in the stores, the warehouses, for the website or the contact centre are supported by this area. Central services such as Microsoft Azure, GSuite and GCP, file services, Citrix, Active Directory (and much more) are all provided and supported by this area.

The Infrastructure & Cloud Services Operations team are responsible for a wide range of technologies used within our Head Office by our staff.  Be it our cloud collaboration tool Google Workspace, used for email and document sharing, our Corporate Storage platforms, Virtualisation or Backup technologies, Citrix for Virtual Apps and Desktops or Azure Server Administration, you will play a prominent role in ensuring these key services stay optimally working - “keeping the lights on” as well as help remediate any technical problems that are escalated to you.  You would also look for ways to improve these tools in order to maximise end user experience and support us with migration projects.

 

About You:

 


You will have experience with (non-exhaustive list):

Azure and other cloud technologies - we predominately use Azure so please keep this in mind when applying Experience of migrating large on-premise work loads into Azure would be desirable but not essential Citrix Netscaler and understanding of other Load Balancers Windows Server administration experience Good understanding of Active Directory, Linux and Data Centers  Agile working methods and ADO board administration is desirable Active Directory, Group Policy and various Storage technologies knowledge is desirable IT change management and configuration management processes Proactive monitoring and maintenance of systems and services

 


In addition, we’re looking for you to be: 

Able to speak, read and write English at a level that enables you to complete your role, for example, to understand instructions and communicate effectively with stakeholders and/or other team members Experienced in effectively working in a collaborative manner in a large scale, fast paced environment within a multifunctional technical team Have a clean driving licence as this role comes with call-out requirements

 


Additional to project work, you’ll provide support to internal users, as well as working closely with other technical teams. You’ll also use your expertise and experience to help us continually improve our processes and working practices, actively enabling the department to become as efficient and effective as it can be.

 


The Infrastructure & Cloud Services Operations team operates a weekly shift rota.  In addition they will take part in an out of hour’s callout rota supporting the business. Overtime and flexibility of shift changes are expected as many systems can only be installed or changed outside of normal business hours. Extended cover will be required to cover peak periods.
