We are seeking a Senior Infrastructure Consultant with strong experience in OCI, AWS and on-premises solutions to join the well-respected Cloud & Infrastructure Team in DXC’s Oracle Practice.  This role will be primarily building & supporting OCI-based infrastructure solutions for a wide variety of customers, with periodic involvement in AWS & on-prem environments hosting Oracle solutions.
 

Key Responsibilities:

Gathers technical requirements and translates requirements into infrastructure and software capabilities

Participates in providing gap analyses, from a technical perspective, highlighting current state, future state, client needs, best practices and competition

Contribute to the timely delivery of OCI, AWS & on-premises solutions

Help identify and resolve technical challenges

Produce detailed low-level technical summaries and pertinent high-level executive summaries for relevant DXC teams and external stakeholders

Provide Managed Services support and act as a Lead Support consultant

Optimise, fine-tune, fit for purpose our managed services operations while applying knowledge of customer’s business
 

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science/Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience

5+ year’s experience across Linux (OEL/RHEL) and/or UNIX (Solaris) systems

Hands-on experience OCI implementation and BAU support

Knowledge across AWS implementation and BAU support

Experience building cloud environments with Terraform

Excellent management, stakeholder engagement, and technical communication skills
 

Highly Desirable Qualifications:

Strong familiarity in supporting Oracle DBAs on Oracle-based infrastructure.

Familiarity with supporting OLVM

Able to configure & support network infrastructure (e.g. Fortinet, OpenVPN)

Relevant OCI, AWS & Oracle certifications

You must have the ability to obtain a Government security clearance.
