We are now looking for a skilled professional to work alongside our Head of Culture and Inclusion for UK&I and Nordics to build on the great progress we have made over the last four years and supercharge our Inclusion and Diversity strategy. We are looking for someone who has a blend of theoretical knowledge and practical, real-world delivery of I&D initiatives.
This role also includes ownership of the Group-wide Colleague Listening Strategy (UK&I and Nordics). We believe the better we listen, the better we become. Role overview:

 

As part of this role, you'll be responsible for:

Inclusion and Diversity (circa 75%)

Collaborate with key internal stakeholders to deliver our core strategic priorities. Monitor progress against each of our priority initiatives, support communication about progress and translate strategy into scalable, evidence-based programmes tailored to our specific workforce needs. Implement benchmarking initiatives to ensure Currys remains an exemplary inclusive employer. Work with the Head of Culture and Inclusion to ensure Culture and Inclusion initiatives comply with relevant policies and equality and anti-discrimination frameworks e.g. Equality Act 2010 and Positive Action provisions. Monitor, analyse and report on diversity and inclusion metrics (e.g. CEO monthly board report, company annual report, Gender Pay Gap report, and support submissions for other regulatory reporting such as Parker Review and FTSE female leaders). Benchmark and research trends, policy and analytics on inclusion and diversity topics. Able to translate data and insight into strategic priorities and recommendations, influencing decision-making at senior levels and helping to shape future focus. Work in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external agencies to develop programmes that build leadership and colleagues’ I&D capability. Design and lead delivery of culture and inclusion initiatives that are evidence-based, intersectional, and deliver real-world impact. Evaluate and evolve initiatives, measuring impact using quantitative and qualitative insight, including colleague experience data. 

Colleague Engagement (circa 25%) 

Work with our survey platform and services provider (Viva-Glint) to ensure effective delivery of engagement surveys and related insights.  Work with external partner to develop insights reviews following each survey, delivering presentations and facilitating follow up discussion with People Leaders/HRBPS and supporting CPO/Director of Comms and Culture in delivering insights reviews and discussion to Executive Committee. 

 

 

 

You will need:

Proven track record of leading the development and implementation of I&D strategies in matrixed/lean organisations. Able to translate strategy into scalable, evidence-based programmes tailored to specific workforce needs. Shows a deep knowledge and understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion concepts and issues in a professional setting. Demonstrable experience of proactively ensuring I&D and Culture initiatives adhere with UK&I equality and anti-discrimination legal frameworks. Expertise in analysing and using data to drive continuous improvement in inclusion and diversity outcomes.  Strong leadership skills with ability to guide diversity initiatives, and deliver organisational change in dynamic settings.   Proven track record of effective programme management with ability to develop and manage roadmaps.  Highly proficient and effective in communicating verbally and in preparation of materials in various formats (reports/papers/presentations).  Proven ability to upskill, develop and build I&D capability of colleagues across all levels.  Possesses emotional intelligence and excellent interpersonal skills with ability to relate across all levels, from senior leaders to frontline teams.  Brings experience working closely with frontline colleagues, including engaging them in shaping, co-designing, and embedding initiatives to ensure relevance and practical impact.  Used to working in fast paced and at times uncertain environments where unanticipated changes may occur.  5+ years of experience in a Diversity and Inclusion role.  Degree qualified or equivalent
